Today in a local club tournament I played a chopper. I got beat in 4. She was excellent and although my attacking / looping game is good, to do what Ma Long does, so consistently is truly awesome to watch.

What if Joo could topspin with his backhand on backspin balls, the attacker would not be able to return his heavy backspin with a dropshot and has to attack all the time + he feels alot more pressure because he knows joo can attack if you give a short ball. Too bad joo doesnt attack on those balls :(

what a game. i cheered for Joo when i was watching it simply because I think Ma Long needs some defeats. he went so close even the scoreline doesn't show it. his style gives Ma Long trouble in many ways. Joo is undoubtedly the best chopper in the world and deserves the credits against the king of table tennis today.

Hey man that is a terrible thing to say, although very true, I'm a big Joo Se Hyuk fan, I think his style is unique in a sense that he does a lot of chopping and blocking but when the opportunity presents itself, he'll loop & attack that ball with persistance and he doesn't miss very many attack attempts

even faster Joo has to be. coz against Ma Long who can play the fastest ball to the most difficult position consistently, u only need the agility and speed of recovery. to be a chopper is to choose to be passive, so if you can't think ahead of your opponent, you end up slow. Joo is incredible in this game, i can say he would beat most other players with such performance. but it was Ma Long. unlucky Joo.
