Yeah you're right they are D1. But that's really not the point. Even some FBS college programs don't have adequate coaching to prepare guys for the NFL, not to mention a school in the Big West Conference. I give (or gave) him the benefit of the doubt for that reason. Bottom line? He has to prove he wants to make the final 53 this summer, because I don't believe he will be given the same treatment as we saw with Sinorice.
FAIL. has the strength and probably speed. but no talent. nothing hard about what he's doing. we did these drills in highschool and i've seen people without his size hold their own better. i played with a couple people that went to OU, Texas, and Nebraska. this guy is junk.
Barden has the attributes to be a great receiver, but considering he went to a D2 school he didn't have the luxury of a great program to teach him the techniques needed for the NFL. He just didn't have the training. He's smart, he'll learn and i guarantee he will become better than a Sinorice Moss or Derek Hagan. I venture to bet he becomes Eli's #1.
Im hoping that this year he enters training camp with full knowledge of the playbook and by the end of training camp this year he improves his route running. Once he leans the play book and become a better route runner he'll be a stud baring injury. G-MEN ALL DAY!!
naw this cats for real. a very dangerous weapon for the future for any team. baring inj and progression problems. plain and simple hes a young randy moss but even slicker. wait till he arrives. you will see.
barden is the most underatted wr in the draft hes plaxico like at 6-6 cant wait to see him and nicks play for the ggggggggggggggggggg-men next year BIG BLUE
You know what's funny....? The Giants traded up thanks to the Philly Eagles to get this guy !!! And now it's gonna hunt the Eagles for many years to come ..... LMAO!!! Go New York Football Giants !

ya but the eagles got a better WR than either guy the giants got..so i don't think they care to much about barden, but i think that nicks is the most pro ready, and great hands and barden is just a slower smarter plaxico...
Just cuz they picked higher doesn't mean he'll pan out. The Giants have a bunch of yout's, Nicks is an impact #1 kind of reciever, Barden will be Plax 2.0, plus we got Steve Smith filling Amani's role as the hands man, 3rd down reciever. The Eagles....better hope and pray Jason Peters is motivated(cuz ya'll don't want Winston Justice out there with Osi back at 100%!!!)
I've been saying this since he got drafted: Why aren't the Giants using him?! This guy has red-zone written all over him.

I really want to see him reach his potential with the Giants.

I really like his hands and body control. And of course his size. But his celebratory dance should be walking like an Egyptian.

You won't know that for sure until about 3 years.
Besides, I don't know how much I trust Maclin, coming out of a spread offense. Lots of potential though.
