What is boring is watching a parade line of cars going around either an oval or road track over and over again without passing. Now think which of Nascar or F1 is more accurately described by that.

If you go to Auto Club Speedway or Daytona it would be a little different I think. Also try the Nascar Corona Series in Mexico and or the Canadian Tire Series. Im Mexican and I have been to one of the Auto Club races for the 5 years straight I believe and I have been a fan ever since. You will see more Mexicans at Auto Club I think :)

@111820nascar It's only ever like that when there's a German involved. Hopefully though Di Resta will get into the Red Bull team alongside Vettel. He used to beat him consistently in gp2. But don't just look at Vettel. I like to ignore him in races really. Last year was an AMAZING year. It hasn't been that good since '92. Vettel was gonna win, everyone knew and nobody cared. What went on with the 5 guys behind him was constantly exciting though.

Whoever starts in pole is only at risk of losing his place on the very first corner. @111820nascar When you watch from a neutral point of view, after the race has finished you'll never get cought up in the feel of it all. People often criticise a sport when they've never really experienced it. I was barely even brought up on F1. I only really got interested after the amazing race in Brazil, 2008. I am a big NASCAR fan I was born in California. And honestly Nascar fans were drunk rednecks in 1958-2007 once the COT came around and all the rules it became less and less rednecky. I've been to a NASCAR race at Daytona. F1 has so many rules and is driven by money (its a business), there has to be a penalty for every bit of contact in a race, it would cost a new driver $2 million to race in a lower team, there's never any over takes, the list could go on (its no really racing). NASCAR is really racing were every thing is settled on track (not too many penalty but still some but not as harsh as F1) the fans have way more fun at a race, the racing is so much closer, the cars r real no computers in evolved

The forces involved in any motorsport are huge. NASCAR cars are not built to accelarate quickly because they do not tend to slow down like an F1 car. Wikipedia isn't always fact by the way!

ok heres the deal. nascar is ok ive been to nascar, and its fun to go to and all but, ITS FREAKIN CIRCLES!! f1 is so much better: there tracks are bigger and not circles (they actually have RIGHT turns!), they have better celebrations, i think the drivers are more laid back (not all the time) they wreck better. o and p.s. the f1 fans are DEFINETLY laid back more than hillbillies, and nascar fans may say it is more hard to drive in a circle and just to say, U R CRAZY

When NASCAR goes to a "road course" it's some of the best racing since there is so many teams that can legit win now. Don't get me wrong I somewhat like F1 but it's just hard to watch. 2. "TRY" to get it up to 120-130(150 for the full effect but it probably can't reach that anyway)
3. See if you can run it at that speed for about 500 laps....

@TheARMAProductions why did you just compare them then?? (albeit in an indirect manner). I love F1 & NASCAR and appreciate that they are completely different. Moto GP is closer to F1 than NASCAR. The forces involved in any motorsport are huge. NASCAR cars are not built to accelarate quickly because they do not tend to slow down like an F1 car. Wikipedia isn't always fact by the way!

ok heres the deal. nascar is ok ive been to nascar, and its fun to go to and all but, ITS FREAKIN CIRCLES!! f1 is so much better: there tracks are bigger and not circles (they actually have RIGHT turns!), they have better celebrations, i think the drivers are more laid back (not all the time) they wreck better. o and p.s. the f1 fans are DEFINETLY laid back more than hillbillies, and nascar fans may say it is more hard to drive in a circle and just to say, U R CRAZY

@terminator4992 I personally love all the close racing and number of battles through the races. When NASCAR goes to a "road course" it's some of the best racing since there is so many teams that can legit win now. Don't get me wrong I somewhat like F1 but it's just hard to watch. F1 2011 the video game is probably the best racing game I've ever played though.

You have to be conditioned through 36 races and 400 to 500 miles a race. Yes F1 is far more advanced but in the end NASCAR has alot more action than F1 and is way more fun to watch. In my opinion, I look at it like this: The F1 crowd outnumbers the NASCAR crowd by the millions, there is more 'variety' and therefore a higher percentage of hot females. NASCAR fans are not all "white trash/rednecks", but they outnumber those that aren't... NASCAR=US, F1=World stage

win. In NASCAR there is 20 people that could win each week. F1 drivers have a time limit of 2 hours... Please that's pathetic NASCAR drivers go for 3-4 hours each week, every week for 36 races! NASCAR's are a whole lot harder to drive too! Takes alot more athleticism than you think it even thought they are only making left turns.

Final Verdict:
F1 is more popular but really boring to watch. Majority of fans are normal. I can't really watch a whole race unless Lewis Hamilton is causing shit. The same guy wins all the time.
NASCAR only popular in America really but has alot more action than F1, better drivers and in NASCAR they actually "race" each other! The majority if NASCAR fans are dumb rednecks but I'm not so I don't care. And the competition is way more than F1.

Full respect to F1 and Indy... That would take some HUGE balls.. But when you drive a car that pushes more downforce on the track than the car actually weighs, as long as you have a balanced setup, that car is going to go wherever the hell you steer it...JUST DON'T GET TOO CLOSE TO THE OTHER GUYS!!!!! Once tiny bit of contact will fuck an Indy car up beyond recognition.. STILL....4 wheels are better than 2. I can't STAND bike racing!!!!!!

F1 or Stock Car.. It's nice to have both but I'll take my Nascar race over open wheel any day. It's not just about turning left around an oval. And I always get the urge to bitch slap the dumb ass who says it is. If you think it's so easy:
1. take your little rice burning pos, go to ummm....Bristol(that's a good one!)
2. "TRY" to get it up to 120-130(150 for the full effect but it probably can't reach that anyway)
3. See if you can run it at that speed for about 500 laps....
