@jackonue for me Southpaw is my favourite moz album, i know most would disagree for various reasons but thats coming from a hardcore Smiths fan, i prefer southpaw because it means more to me musically as well

If extended instrumentals are self-indulgent, then I suppose lots of artists from Mozart to Miles are wankers.
Arguably, writing lyrics about the same personal themes is the real self-indulgence (thought moz does this better than anyone).
Agreed. "Compensated" for rushing out an album two songs short by making three of the songs 3 or 4 minutes longer than they needed to be in order to pad the album out. Shame.

Great performance of a GREAT song of an underrated album. I love Southpaw Grammar from the very first day of its 09-1995 release!
