The original version of this was done by the late Gerrard Hoffnung back in the 1950s. Gerard Hoffnungs version ( the original ) is on Youtube.

A nice song - but the video completely doesn't go with what the song is about =\
I'm trying to listen to humour and envisage a comical building site
But I see beautiful patriotic pictures of bonnie Scotland
It's quite confusing and distracting - although I like the pics, they detract from my enjoyment of the song
Glad I could hear this song though
