  • I agree, it looked like Starbug.

  • LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE!!

  • This is really cool :)

  • You sir are a damn genius <3

  • Yay!

I love how you put labels on the bottom of the screen as to which is Doctor Who and which is Red Dwarf. You know, cause otherwise they're too close to tell!

  • I like to believe that since Red Dwarf began in 1988, some Sci-Fi's have kinda copied the Series abit, take for example " Shuttlepod 1 " from Star Trek - Enterprise and compare it to the Red Dwarf episode " Marooned " from Series 3. You can find clips of both episodes here on YouTube.

Even Star Trek Voyager seemed like Red Dwarf, like when the E.M.H. Doctor is in 7 of 9's body for allmost a whole episode and enjoying himself in her body, cant remember the name of that episode.

  • ya know what I think should be your next project, you've had ninth and tenth doctor meet classic trek, you've had amy and eleventh doctor meet next gen trek why not have some who, classic or new meet red dwarf for a vid :)

  • Bravo.

  • Excellent observation!

  • This is one of the only YouTube videos in months that has really put a smile on my face - it's fantastic! Clever work.

  • That is beyond brilliant! :0)

  • OMG That is brilliant my 2 favourite Sci Fi shows together <3 thankyou!!! =D

  • Perfect match and by the same notion it's nice to see DW reusing old spaceship models again, can't wait for the heart of gold to turn up

  • haha ! lve it. i thought i was the only one.

  • the cactai ship looked more like a starbug/blue midget hybrid with the guns from the millenium falcon to me

  • i think i love u 4 this clip X)

  • wow that was wicked!!

  • That is beyond AWESOME!!!!!

  • This is brilliant.

  • Duuude! That's so clever how you matched the clips! 5 stars!!!! :)

  • The bit where Tennant is in free fall reminds me of Ace Rimmer falling out of the aeroplane while surfing on an Aligator! Very funny!

  • @GDster1 The Doctor, what a guy!

  • I totally thought that as I watched it, but was too afraid to comment

  • So basically, what you're trying to say with this video is...

    "Ahhh, smug mode." j/k :)

Good video and it was very amusing. As a fan of both series, I enjoyed it.

  • Oh, it was supposed to be like one of the Red Dwarf intros? I thought it was just supposed to be really awesome =P and it was.

  • re "I was glad to see I was not alone..."

    You Are Not Alone!

  • I thougt it looked like that too...

  • I think that if you edit the beginning clip of the red dwarf vi intro to the beginning of red dwarf vii (it would look better and more believable)

  • LexxTubeV1 I agree with you; and how John Simm must have enjoyed himself on this episode!

    Thanks, Kelvington,

    Shirley

  • Brilliant!!! (I'm pleased I'm not the only one to see the similarities.

  • awesomeeeeeeeee

  • LMAO Kelvington, you ol'bastard you've done it again! Now I have this hysterical of image of a mashup with Kryton telling Davros to "Swivel on it!", and K9 repeatedly stunning Cat everytime he mentions his clothes. Damn I wish I knew how to edit.

  • I'm still not seeing it.

  • Nor me. I guess anything remotely spherical that flies must resemble Starbug?

  • Absolutely smashing! That fit perfectly. Great job... once again.

  • That was tremendous! Just... wow! *bows down* My fave clip was of course Mr John Simm popping up the that very fetching pink outfit ;)

  • OMG! Awsome. :D

  • this is brilliant!

  • You, Sir, are a genius!

  • Awesome! It really is the Starbug! :D

That last bit where the Doc is falling should have been placed opposite Ace Rimmer falling out of the German plane though!

  • Most excellent as usual...

  • Great !!! i Got a Chalenge for ya!!! Seeing im never gonna get around to it!! how about Waters of mars Footage to the theme of Space 1999 series 1... MARS 2059

  • That's not bad. I just might take you up on that challenge. I'll have to watch it again today and see if there's enough there to do it.

  • @Kelvington it would involve alot of quick cuts.. at least Forty in the first half alone .. but you have a date to flash like they do in the space 1999 credits NOV 21 2059 instead of sept 13 1999..

  • I think I'm in love. lol

  • Smegging Brilliant!

  • <3 <3

  • Nice one. ;D

  • That was so funny, I thought I was seein things, but now with that side by side

    BRILLIANT!!!!

    5/5 stars here

  • LOL! I *so* see it! Some of the humour of the last episode WAS quite Red Dwarfian now that you point it out! :D

  • 2 of my favourite show mashup to perfection 5/5

    Keep up the great work

  • Are you kidding me? WOW!

  • since i didnt get to post first....figure i better post twice....

my two fave shows and my fave video mashup creator all in the same space!

i am a lucky lucky girl!

  • Funny that , i wastint thinking of Starbug when that Ship appeared in Doctor Who , i was thinking of the Millennium Falcon instead cos the scenes with Wilf and that VinVocci Guy blasting those lasers at the Missiles reminded me of Han and Luke blowing up TIE Fighters in Star Wars - Episode IV - A New Hope . See that of the Film and then watch them Missiles been blown up with Wilf the VinVocci Guy and you'll understand .

  • I thought of that scene aswell. :)

  • hahahahahahaha.!!! i'm laughing, i'm crying, i'm hackin up shards of glass...thank you soooooo much for this!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • I bloody love you! :D

  • thank you for rubbing your creativity in our face, we loved every second of it!
