  • She was awesome! I used to scottish country dance when I was younger and I always loved watching the highland dancers at different festivals and competitions.

  • @highlandabi

I love these dances, I am spanish and the combination of the celtic culture, in general very interesting and attractive, with your people is very open(??) and enjoyable.

    Cheers!

At least that's what my nearly decade old high school spanish got me :)

From a layman's opinion, she seems very good, very interesting to watch, looks intense to dance!

  • she just needs to stay inthe swords on the second step, put apart from that it was spellbounding

  • to all the people in the audience SHUT IT and watch.

  • Wow this seems even more energy-taking than irish dance! I kind of wnat to do both

  • Fantastic - I love to see this and listen to the music.

  • WOW! what a beautiful and intricate dance. i love it!

  • This really stirs my ancestral blood.

  • Just need to push that heel around a little bit more in the open pdb in 2nd, 3rd and 4th steps...Nice work though, quite consistent in throughout.Better then the girl beside you lol

  • Wait....historically it was MEN that did this dance no?

  • It has so much energy. I love it

  • It is always heartwarming to see people being proud of their culture.

  • Hi Lassielurv...I'd say that you could probably pick it up rather quickly because one of the hardest things about highland is being in good shape and able to jump (which you would have from Irish). It might be a little difficult to learn our basic positions at first, but most dancers who start and have any dance background usually pick it up pretty fast.

I don't think highland would harm your irish, probably the biggest issue would be making sure you have time for both. Hope this helps!

  • Hey, Im an Irish step dancer, but facinated by High land dancing. Im wondering how hard it would be for me to pick this up? Our dances are similar and I've been dancing for four years, and dont have an intention of stopping Irish, but m curious to how I would manage both?

  • i love the 2&2 way better than the 3&1

  • Ah yes, first 2&2 Sword video of the year!

  • Absolutely awesome!!!! :D

  • very well done!! especially the arms....having them up for that long is brutal but she kept them very strong! :)

  • thanks so much!
