My friend is a Vietnam combat vet, writer, teacher, 65. Last year PTSD slammed into him. His VA shrink said, "This condition will never go away. But we are going to work with how you can live with it and sometimes manage it."

My friend trusts his shrink, "a solid heart," he says.
