@Vergadoce I suggest you take up your stellar defensive arguments on the behalf of Rabbi David Kaye with Federal District Judge Cacheris who convicted and then sentenced him to 6.5 years in Federal prison. I'm sure Judge Cacheris would be fascinated to hear your arguments about how this wasn't a crime and it was entrapment. (You're too late for an appeal: the 4th Circuit has already affirmed Kaye's conviction.)

@Vergadoce Kaye's atty made that argument: no 13 yr old boy=no crime. However, it was a LOSER! There was significant stare decisis that addressed that very issue and held that it didn't matter in an inchoate offense case. All judges are bound by stare decisis. It wouldn't have mattered if Kaye had Clarence Darrow as his atty.

@Vergadoce Uh, no, the trial judge did his job properly by followed stare decisis. There was clear precedent on that issue and the trial judge was bound by it. He CANNOT ignore ignore previous rulings because THAT is "biased and wrong." His decision was then affirmed by three 4th Cir. judges. That's how the law functions. If you don't like it then contact your congressperson to try to change it.

@mkeogh76 When it comes to sex crimes in this country, the law is often wrong and it IS biased. The courts have made that clear. Law enforcement say that when theyre told of a rape, they automatically believe its true -- despite the story possibly being total bullshit. There's NO objectivity in sex crimes cases. The accused is always assumed guilty first. Its the only crime in this country where innocent until proven guilty does not apply, and public opinion is OK with that. And that's fucked up
