  • Awesome! If you live around Vancouver, BC and you love the Doors, definitely check out a band called 'The Unknown Soldiers' (Ultimate tribute to the Doors). Wicked shows, second only to the real thing.

  • well jim was rich. what couldnt he do? the doors were the band of the late 60s early 70s. so yea i wouldnt be surprised if jim was high or hungover. which is why this is fake.

  • Thanks for posting the clip, but this isn't from the Hollywood Bowl...it's an edited clip from either the "Dance on Fire" or "Soft Parade" video.

    The live footage of the band is from when they were on the Johnathan Winters Show (if memory serves me of what the surviving Doors said on the DVD commentary over that clip...)

  • You tell em man! Read the book "The Doors on the Road" by Greg Shaw. It lists every performance, live or recorded by the Doors. It was the Jonathan Winters Show., Wed. Dec. 27, 1967 on CBS.

  • You're right. It's not even live. It's the recorded version. But it is Moonlight Drive, my favorite of all the Doors' songs and one of the best there is in all of rock and roll history

  • It was recorded on a TV show in Denmark. I don't know who indicated that it's the Hollywood bowl. It's not the Smothers Brothers or Jonathan Winters either. It's a Danish TV program.

  • Sorry, this is not recorded in Denmark. I have both audio tapes and video of their stuff done in Denmark. Check out the Doors' video release of "Dance on Fire" and you will see this performance. It was done in front of a live audience on the Jonathan Winters TV show. A great song anyway.
