i think they wanted the 80s effect on there music the way it sounds vampires were said to be mostly around in the 1800s and such so i guess thats why also they dress kind like a victorian style dress in some ways but nevertheless AWESOME BAND!! AWESOME STYLE!! AND I LOVE THEM!!

I'm very fond of this new sound of theirs. Not my usual kind of music, but this song sounds great. The growth that this band has shown has been amazing. Black metal to "Dark" metal to some strange sort of electro-goth/darkwave that's both catchy and yet decidedly non-mainstream.

The problem with mainstream music? Most mainstream music is generic overplayed crap, to be honest. There's a couple "mainstream" bands I'm fond of, but the fact of the matter is that most of them just do what's expected and "in" looking for the fast track to success and money. Just take a look at what people listen to now. I can't even tell the difference between most hip-hop or rap anymore. Emo music has taken a drastic downturn to whiny ballads of a girl that left some pathetic kid.

Punk has taken a downturn from edgy and new to pop-punk monstrosities. Metal's deteriorated into nu-metal shit like Disturbed, Slipknot, and Papa Roach that try to profit off of middle class teenagers who "hate the world" and want to be "different" while amazingly, jump right from one cliche clique into another. Music needs less ripping off of successful acts and more bands trying to find their own style. Maybe then kids can be content with being who they are rather than "goth" "emo" or"punk"

I remember when Trance used to be underground and played at hardcore raves but it is now becoming mainstream aswell and we have rivh white kids going to "dance clubs" instead of old school warehouse raves and as for Metal I listen to Death Metal but even that is becoming more mainstream slowly its like theres no more originality.
