Hey, would you mid helping me out on my video and help me debate the rays are a good team to all of the idiots that leave half-ass comments?
Please?? I need some more rays support! Thanks
I don't care that you are a NY fan, and I don't want you to say the rays are good or anything, just that the Red Sox suck, we have that in common at least....Rays and NY are better then the sox easily
Am I the only one that notices that Jaba Chamberlain and Roger Clemons Look alike? Ya the same exact Bloated Sterioid Face. Ya, ya no wonder Jaba hurt himself, hes using performance enhancing drugs.
I don't get the big deal cuz he fists his pump for a matter of 1-2 seconds.....Red Sox fans who bitch about a thing should shut the fuck up.....it wasnt as bad as manny hitting home runs in say 10-2 ball games and staying in the batters box for 30 secs......how funny was his single last year when he stayed in the batters box
A fist pump of a strikeout in a 3-2 ballgame in the 8th is more mature than standing in the batters box for 10 seconds when you hit a home run to make the score 10-2
WHAT IS SO TERRIBLE hes pumped up hes not doin anythin towards thomas it was just him getting energey out like with football we smash stuff with bats to let our excitement and butterflys out before our big games there is absolultey nothin wrong with this
Wow, a lot of jealous people out there. Lemme ask you something. When CC Sabathia struck out Shelley Duncan earlier this year, and fist pumped, where were all the people calling him out?
i didn't get to see the game last night, how much fist pumping and twirly-whirly shit was there in his 38-pitch, one-balk and three-walk first inning last night?
hahaha gandalf makes a good point. not too much celebrating in a piss poor display like Joba did tonight. Don't worry though Yankees fans, he'll be walking guys all year, so you'll be able to see more of it very soon.
I think the better story is how good the Red Sox scouts are with Masterson winning and Hansen/Delcarmen pitching well, while New York's other young guys like José Veras and Edwar Ramírez pitch horribly.
all the shit u talk on joba's fist pump, how about manny last year in the playoffs hitting the ball off the wall and getting a single cause he pimped it...face it manny, paplebon, and ortiz celebrate more then joba does
manny, ortiz, and papelbon celebrate during big things. If theres a big homerun that is clearly going to be gone, yea they celebrate. So what? Home runs are a bigger deal than striking out someone in the 8th inning. Manny, Ortiz, and Papelbon celebrate when they have, lets say, hit a game winning home run over the green monster to beat the Angels in the ALDS, or striking out the final batter to win the World Series. Joba isn't even CLOSE to level of the Red Sox guys.
yea ok, even if the red sox are down by 10 manny pimps it and if he ever did that to joba he would get it in the ear...paplebon has a gay fist pump every time he gets a save, and david ortiz is doing nothing cause he his steroid take is catching up to him..besides a strike out in a one run game in the 8th with the bases loaded is something to celebrate about, not a solo homer in the 1st
The fact that you just said Ortiz does steroids completely takes away any possible credit of anything you say. You're all pissy because guys like Giambi, Clemens and Sheffield juiced, while Pettite used HGH, and whaya ya know! They all played for your precious Yankees. Go cry about it. Red Sox are better!
so explain why david ortiz who was a shitty player out of nowhere started hitting 40 hrs a year and gained at least 30lbs after he went to the red sox...i dont really give a shit if they took steriods 60% of baseball has taken then prob clemens and pettite have taken us to what 4 championships and 6 world series more then the sox have had in the last 50 years...hgh wasnt illegal when pettite took it...oh and last time i checked the red sox are about 20 championships away
First of all, in Minnesota he played first base, and there have been multiple interviews explaining how the turf at the Metronome was so hard on his knees, so he never felt fully healthy and it only got worse in Minnesota. So when he came to Boston and became the DH, he was healthy and playing in all games. Plus in Boston he's had the protection of Manny Ramirez.
Second of all, they started doing tests for steroids in 2004. That would mean he would've gotten caught by now, and not only that, if his performance was due to steroids, his years since 2004 would have sucked (41, 47, 54, 35 home runs each year since 2004).
So basically you're just another ignorant New York fan who is bitter because half your precious team used steroids and now youre just trying to take the good players down with you. Boo fucking hoo. Youre team cheated big time. Get over it.
And where did you get this "Ortiz gained 30 pounds after he went to the Red Sox" bullshit? He didn't gain 30 pounds, or anything even CLOSE to that. You blatantly just made that up. Typical Yankee fan.
your just a typical red sox fan, a drunk irish retard who probably never openly supported them until after 2004...not everyone in baseball got tested for steroids and even if they did there are ways of producing a negative test aka garry sheffield took the cream and the clear and it would not show up on tests, second of all ortiz weighed around 200lbs in minnisota, i had his baseball card and he was listed at 6'4 200 so u need to calm down,i dont give a shit about clemens or sheffield took roids
Four people is not half of the team, learn to do math. Boo hoo to Papi for using the excuse of the turf in Minnesota. I'm glad all this started because of a video of a great pitcher striking out one person. People need to get over it, I play co-ed recreational softball and have seen pitchers do the same thing. what protection did he get from Manny Ramirez? If he struck out Manny would finish the job he couldn't?
No, Pappi changed quite a bit from his time in Minnie to his time in Boston. He was a Tony Gwynn-type and then changed. I don't know if he used but we have seen him start to break down the last couple of years. His health problems seemed to start about the time that Congress force baseball to start testing. I hate to think that he would do it but there is a pretty good chance that he stopped doing something... what that something is, I won't pretend to know. It is just very suspicious.
I agree, but mainly with Manny the most. When he hits a big fly ball he stands in the batter box with his arms raised saying "please get outta here" and if it doesnt leave the park and lets say hits the wall, what could have been a dubble turns into a single, come on thats just not right. But still Manny is with the Dodgers now and I do wish good luck to him even though he is to much of a show off.
first off ur name has to do with lord of the rings so most likely u know nothing about baseball...i understand why u hate on joba he only can throw upper 90's consistently probably harder then anyone in baseball, and has 2 outstanding breaking pitches. Yea hes horrible, no ur just a freaking idiot
He's lucky he doesn't have too hit because somebody would put one in his ear its all the same problem with players like Joba, Manny, Bonds, and others who show people up in different ways
First off, TO shatterheearth, WHo obviously doesn't know anything, Just becuase manny has been around doesn't mean its ok to act like an indiot, standing at home plate with your hands in the air after you hit a home run even tho your still LOSING makes you look like an idiot, high fiving a fan makes you look dumb, He even said last year in the playoffs if they don't win he doens't care, Hes probably the worst example of a good sport, And if anyone is going to get pummeled it will be him,
LMFAO! The Yanks led by the FAT MAN Jaba (The Slob) Chamberlain get their ass handed to them by the best team in NY the Mets! That was a nice 8th inning for the fat man Chamberlain, dont you agree?! LOL
First of all if you're going to make fun of him, spell his name right. To shattertheearth, the Yankees may not be doing well but neither is Boston or they wouldn't be like 21/2 games up from them. You must not watch your team very well because Joba just pitched a shut out to Boston and you're precious Manny, and David Ortiz. I think having the bases loaded and striking out someone is a reason to celebrate, whether it's the 8th inning or the 1st. Go FUCK youself, and your crappy Red Sox.
I thought this OVER-RATED piece of shit Jaba would be out of baseball in less than 5 years! It looks like this slob could be out even sooner! I dont know who to blame on this one?! Jaba being an over weight fat bastard and thats what caused his injury, or the DUMBASS Yankees rushing him to quickly to be a starter?! LOL!
First of all its Joba, second of all injuries are natural in baseball, especaily with pitchers, and third, you try throwing a 101 mph pitch without saying "ow my wittle arm"
you saying that Manny doesn't care when we lose is a pretty ignorant comment. You obviously never heard all the stories about that comment last postseason being taken COMPLETELY out of context. Manny puts in more work than anyone to master the art of hitting. Saying he doesn't care is just stupid.
and second of all, to sinclair2213, who are you to make fun of the Red Sox when they lose? The Yankees are barely at .500. The Yankees suck. Steinbrenner was like "we have the best offer for Santana with Ian Kennedy, Phil Hughes, and Melky Cabrera." Kennedy and Hughes have been LIT UP and put on the DL, and Melky Cabrera is hitting .265, while Lester and Buchholz have each thrown no-hitters and Ellsbury leads baseball with 26 steals and is second in the AL with 41 runs. Joba is going get lit up.
first of all, Manny Ramirez is a 16 year veteran and is 2 home runs shy of 500. Papelbon is in his 4th year in the big leagues and has a World Series under his belt, as does K-rod. Chamberlain has barely any Major League experience and he acts like he's the shit or something. He's not even a fucking closer! He's out there thinking he's the best pitcher in the league. This guy is going to get pummeled one day, and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
Oh and Papelbon had a right when he first came up???
Mind u that this clip was from the last opening night at yankee stadium...If u are not getting pumped for striking out a future hall of famer on this night with the game on the line then theres something wrong.
i don't understand why people are hating Joba when he celebrate when he strike outs hitter. Jonathan Papelbon, K-Rod, Jose Lima ect those pitcher celebrate too and no one said nothing bout them. Manny Ramirez when he hit HR, he walk like he is the monster and no one said nothing. So is anyone hate Joba celebrations, don't watch him when he pitch. GO JOBA
How can anyone say Joba is arrogant? Because he does the "fist pump" when he strikes people out? I'm sorry... he's 22 years old and is striking out players who have been in the game for years and have solid reputations. If I were him I'd react the exact same way. Keep it up Joba! Go Yankees!!
yea joba is arrogant but who cares he gives the yankees something they have been missing for years which is an attitude. I'm glad he's on the yankees and he's not the only that will make an impact the yanks have tons more on the way
hes given up 1 run in 28 innings in his career. how is he overrated? if anything hes underrated because i dont hear any talk or praise about him at all really on espn or anything.
dude shut up joba was pumped if u had just struck out a hall of famer ur telling me u would not get pumped and even if he is "to" excited he has the stuff to back it up whats his era this regular season an last 0.83 so im gland hes pumped cuz i am to joba rulezzz
Great stuff! I'm adding this to my favorites. I was worried by Joba's inconsistency this spring, but so far in the regular season he looks just as awesome as he did last year. Joba's a monster. Be afraid, AL hitters. Be very afraid!

hes not arrogant he just plays with emotion and thats what helps him pitch good. look at papelbon he fuckin goes crazy when he gets a guy out but its that emotion that makes him good. dont hate on a guy that plays with heart hes not trying to show anybody up. and i hate the red sox and im not here talkin shit about papelbon.
