So when he came to Boston and became the DH, he was healthy and playing in all games. Plus in Boston he's had the protection of Manny Ramirez.

No, Pappi changed quite a bit from his time in Minnie to his time in Boston. He was a Tony Gwynn-type and then changed. I don't know if he used but we have seen him start to break down the last couple of years. His health problems seemed to start about the time that Congress force baseball to start testing. I hate to think that he would do it but there is a pretty good chance that he stopped doing something... what that something is, I won't pretend to know. It is just very suspicious.
