  • I cant find this PINK beauty in the sandbergs collection :( Are they still selling it?

  • why are you trying to emulate a p-bass when actually having a p-bass??

  • Marlowe just a short question!!! Well first of all I want to thank you for all the knowledge shared by you with all the bass players of the world, you're definitely contributing to the bass world and you are also a big influence....I've seen you are using a Sandberg California Bass, I actually own a Fender JB American Standard, what bass do you think is better!!! Thanks

  • eu quero só um contra baixo teu... muito bacana....

  • where do you get the money to buy so many basses? and where you from?

  • where do you get the money to buy so many basses?

  • wish I had a bass amp xd

  • This is the bomb - I have been playing bass for years and this cat should be recognised for the help he gives to aspiring players. And wow is he good!!!!.

  • Very Pino looking bass style

  • What brand is the beanie?

  • You sir, are really my inspiration.

  • you have a great sound..what amp/box/effect are you using? :)

  • Funky.

  • only great playes can play a pink bass without looking like a looser :)

  • Do they make the same bass for men ? :-)

  • this guy looks like my old youth pastor

  • That's downright p-bass growl! Amazing.

  • It's like Jaco playing Disco

  • you are my hero dude. Thanks for the videos

  • where did you get these pink color?

  • fat sound.. yo got soul brotha

  • Although all of your grooves are amazing, this is by far my favorite!!!! You got soul brotha!

  • It's amazing how that bass guitar was designed by humans to be used by humans. It was made to accept dirty human hands that shed skin and body oil residue. As opposed to equipment which was made by machines, for machines, designed to operate under immaculate conditions. Human things are so fascinating!

  • It's too slow for a disco song. Disco is usually 120-140 pbm.

  • @bigray1999 That's why it says 'Disco-ish' ;)

  • You are familiar and natural with the bass as if you shared a womb with one.

  • How come every men from denmark can play bass? O_o By the way nice vid :D

  • @SirNorwayDaniel If every man from Denmark can play bass, then every man from here, Finland, can play guitar.

  • do you use a kind of overdrive\gain?

  • takes a true man to play a pink bass. :D

    Great job!

  • Awesome play and more awesome bass :-DD

  • Tell me again why your not famous?

  • @shaggymattrocks Wel, im famous here;-)

  • @shaggymattrocks Define famous? look at the views on all his vids, add em up, players from all over the globe watch and learn from him, instead of watching t.v. my wallpaper is his bass...well Im gonna go watch t.v. lol

  • @shaggymattrocks cause his shit is already invented...

  • @shaggymattrocks I think he actually really is ... :)

  • this maybe the most epic thing evar. Luigi playing a pink bass with a funky bassline and grooving his head back and fourth?

  • m8, that is a sick coloured bass!

  • seriously, like the FUNKIEST bass riff i have ever had the pleasure of exposing to my extremely discriminating ears

  • where did you find that bass?

  • Dude youre so cool lol.

  • tighttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.....

  • Every new video I watch of you playing your bass reassures me that you were born the wrong color. You should be black.

  • Nice one !

Do you use any compression here ?

  • i like your gay-bass!

  • It's ectually really cool that your pink bass fits exacly In this video because of the style (: Colour, sound and skill combined (:

  • Do you know what pickups they are in that bass? They sound nice!

    Cheers :)

  • @Lordgout All sandberg basses are installed with Delano, and as far as i can see, he hasnt changed them (:.

    Regards

  • That's one sexy sandberg. Is it original or did you do modify it with pink paint and stuff?

  • Thank you so much! You're a great help and a great inspiration!

    Very Nice Basses BTW :)

  • I like the Aage Jensen price sticker thing

  • thats a sexy bass. Sandberg?

  • So which one do you like better - the california jj or the california jm?

  • Awesome channel !!! I just recently began playing the bass guitar and You're giving me the motivation to keep practicing.

  • Wow looks like you have more basses than I have pairs of socks! LOL

  • How do you like that Sandberg? Sounds great.

  • hey i love you videos i have been into the bass for a while now and i just got my first bass...it is kinda old and it is fretless....it had frets but they were hacked off..so it is much harder to play (i have had it only two days...and i have never played guitar) so far i can only play three songs at three scales, and i can play them pretty well, but i was wondering if you had any tips for playing fretless basses?

  • @leopartina that's cool (: having a fretless as a first bass . i guess when you go to a fretted one you'll find it much easier .

  • @ianidinuse

i've started with fretted bass, then I got a fretless bass. if you have the right intonation on a fretless you won't have any trouble on a fretted one ;-) but if you play stuff like teen town from jaco, then it's so much easyer to play it tight and clean on a fretless, because on a fretless you don't have the fretnoise. it sucks if you play a bit untight on a fretted bass and then you just hear "click". if you play those fast lines it's easyer on fretless in my mind.

  • sounds awesome

what effect pedal are you using

  • great vibe Marlowe !!

  • whouaaa I understood the scale major :)))))

  • sorry , its no D7 ?

  • @simongallupiot Sure it is, forgot to add the 7:-)

  • damn! thtas smooth ur really amazing great videos bro

  • very groovy tigh'n'loose bassline ! it does not sound like a p-bass, though.

  • sounds like one to me

  • well, go listen MarloweDK's p-bass vids: that one sounds like a real p-bass

  • no way!? i didnt know that.

  • I just had an bassic orgasm on 0:25 !!!

  • me too

  • what kind of bridge is on that sandberg ? is it a tek 2? or 2-tek?

  • Wilbour Bascomb (musical HAIR) sistem:)))

  • Dear Marlowe, now in Italy it's 19:30, and I'm dancing nude on your last lick! .. sure, with my bass, not a woman but... I'm happy! thank you!!

  • sounds like rocco playinf but more of marlowe's touch. Love it!

  • Are those Delano pickups in there? Sure looks like 'em. Not something you see every day. Love your stuff.

  • How about a lesson or two with the Rickenbacker? We haven't seen that one in a while.

  • what kind of amp are you using?, good sound, never seen anything like that

  • tc electronic rh450

  • I wonder how different it would sound with double-pole-piece pickups and a vintage-style bent plate bridge.

  • @inuyashaspet Wait, scratch that. Realized these aren't single-coil anyways.

  • marlo you are great!

  • new strings right!? :)

  • Comment removed

  • that bass body looks teeny

  • @Donald666: it's just it's pink haha

  • Muy bueno.

  • you are rapidly becoming my fav bassist....love your stuff marlowe.

  • tighttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • Great stuff!

I notice that you don't right-hand dampen the A string when you move to G or D. Do you find it unnecessary or do you take care of that in the left somehow?

  • May I ask you what's the 5-stringer on the backround?

  • Its a Godin 5 string, havent used it yet, traded for an amp

  • did you buy the bass? :D

  • why aren't you a famous bass player?

  • Very nice bass line... seems so easy when you play it without even looking at your fingers ;)

  • awesome job !

  • Awesome video man

  • I can't find the difference between funk styke and disco style ? Maybe there is more slap in funk ?

  • It has a lot to do with the modes and scales used too. Disco uses a lot of simple octaves, while funk is a little more complex. When I think funk I think of mixolydian mode.

  • @chokicou This tune is more disco because of the 'four-to-the-floor' drum beat too, which is typical Disco.

  • Yes, its the rhythm im referring to

  • funk is funky. disco is groovy. there's a difference in feel.

  • tnx for your tutorial man...

    I see your video everyday!!

Regards from italian bassplayer that live in Spain ;) ciaoo!

  • Er det en brugt eller ny Sandberg?

  • Ha ha, yes that would be the most democratic:-)

He asked if it was a new or used Sandberg?

    Its new with ""aged" finish

  • @MarloweDK Thanks Marlowe ;)

  • @ThomasWerff

    Not everyone speaks English.
