You don't hear fire trucks with manual transmissions like that anymore. Hopefully 108 will get a new truck with automatic transmission.

Does that truck have a standard transmission or is that just the way it sounds?

Thats the way it sounds, its a stick-shift.
That's the first time I've ever seen anything newer than a Mack CF with a standard transmission. Anyone know what their reason for buying standard was, I'd assume it was cheaper?
@lacofd101 i thought those models were automatics, i know the old KMEs with the open jumpseats are sticks, but i never figured this would be one
