yeah, thats true, but there are two types of impros: 1st is just learned riffs in that scale, which you just play as you learned it.
2nd is when you play, and you let your mind do its job. Its MUCH harder but much nicer. I think, elshaub has is true a little bit. Just let the guitar play, dont only try to make as much tones as possible. you can perfectly see it in eddie hazel´s maggot brain song. try it ;)
get a better amp, you play better than that :P
