  • First time, I really heard his real voice. in the movies he seems to have a deeper voice, less accent. Then again I haven't seen every movie or tv show he's been on.

  • First time I seen the Trap. I did not know it was him. The accent threw me off, then again he did do a pretty good job. If anyone ever get's to see Hunting Party or Assassasation Bureau he does a great American and Russian accent.

Sadly, this guy was good, they don't make them like this anymore.

  • He spoke like a Toff but carried on like a lout at times, sadly.

  • Adore Oliver Reed, right from his early films, used to go every Saturday night after work in Soho (dancing). to the Late show in Charing Cross rd. He made a lot of "chelsea beat" films and horror. So good looking, but the alcohol got to him fast and made him bloated. Wonderful speaking voice too.

  • Love that man. Always will

  • oliver reed went round the french canadian bars to pick up the language hahaha

    Legend

  • SWIM IN HER EYES? OLLIE YOU WERE A GENIUS!

  • @ 3:04... "you want to put that down my throat, you're like a dentist" lol

  • My father was good friends with Oliver Reed, ..they would spend hours and hours in the meadow collecting wild flowers, then go back to Olivers house where they would knit cardigans. I still have some of his handi-work, .. a lovely green and yellow floral designed scarf.

  • Makes love like an animal..

Yeah, I'll bet you did Olli.

  • Looks like it was fllmed on location in West Vancouver at Hollyburn Studios (now gone) which as far as I know Ollie's only visit to Vancouver.

Check out on iTunes a Vancouver band called The Town Pants who have a song called "The Unlikely Redemption of Oliver Reed"

  • Wonderful. love that man.

  • also you can see the camera running out of film in the middle.

so they went for take two and OR is a bit choosier about his words.

  • Palais de danse!

  • Best voice ever, like chocolate :P

  • I love watching Ollie, forget about his drinking for a minute, his acting was great. God bless.

  • What a character....

  • Plus: I want his voice.

  • whoa, before "Oliver!" wasn't it?

  • Ollie is such a smart man. He speaks so well. he's intense.

  • i love the swimming in her eyes comment,.. so clever

    such a nice voice :D

  • Yeah...he's very intelligent...even when he was stone drunk he spoke sense..

    Wild Man...a Wild Flower..

  • @arjunkaul Well said! A wonderful man.

Many great actors had a hard time with alcohol: Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins. How wild they could get! Wikipedia even lists famous people who died through alcohol.

  • @NoldorianElf You don't find people like this guys anymore. Real men.

  • @NoldorianElf There's a book out there about famous Hellraiser's. Not only do they die from it, but they age faster, and get bloated too.

  • @Rab379 And I would have liked to have gone swimming in his eyes. So beautiful, so tough and so strong. I miss you, Oliver.

  • yes the same questions are asked over and over. that is so the promoters of the film can control the reviews. the movie and the interview are both being paid for by the same company. like "reality" tv today.

  • 3.05 lol! thanks for posting

  • Thank you so VERY much for posting this!

  • My most favorite film of the one and only Ollie.Thank you so much to show this very nice interview. There most be much more around of interviews of Oliver, please post some more...and thank you Ollie, see you one day RIP.

  • One of my all time favorite adventure-drama Classic film: THE TRAP Starring Oliver Reed & Rita Tushingham is a "remarkable" masterpiece. Saw it on the big screen as a child with my mom & sister's during the late '60's. Plus, it run/showned yrly on public TV during the 70's & early 80's. Entrancing interview coverage w/the bold Iconic Actor OLIVER REED his a bear of a man & unpredictable/awesome! Great interview & loved what Mr. Reed said about his Co-star the lovely Ms. Tushingham.

  • One of the best films he played in. Nobody could do the role better than him.

  • am i going crazy or were the questions and answers repeated after the middle?

  • No, you're not going crazy - the interviews were done for publicity purposes during the movie, and when the horses started to "intrude" they did a second take on the interview. As it was shot on film they printed both versions in case it could be edited later.

  • what a stunning looking man oliver reed is.beautiful

  • I love Oliver Reed - never seen this interview before and delighted to have the opportunity to view it now! Thank you so much for posting it!

  • Well found!
