its been 4 weeks since i purchased my numark ns7 with the nsfx included for 1180 guitar center. I am so lucky because I was this close of purchasing the numark v7s with the x5 mixer but the sales rep gave me a great deal! coming from california this is great!!! beats the ns6, and the other crap digital platters. i cant believe how similiar these are to the real vinyl ones. even the scratching is great. i finally adjusted the platters to spin with ease. I have a hard time putting these down! ^_^
the NS7 is not good for a House DJ because you are limited with inputs and the effect unit wet and dry control is a fader style, instead of a rotary knob. furthermore, the unit effect unit is not in a easy access place, the platter wheels cant be used as a midi.
The NS7 is $1000 without the FX bar. You can use it with any laptop, it comes with Serato ITCH which is really good cuz is one of the best programs for Djs.
The NS7 is worth the money, feels close to the real thing for a controller. Performance wise, they are both good, but you do have more options with the Pioneer, things like choice of dj software mixer, sound effect unit,if you want to scratch and play hip hop great unit, not so good for house style.

hey guys, do you think this is worth the price? the scratching are exactly like vinyls right? should I get these or spend more money on pioneer cdjs? which one is more worth it? btw, im not much of a dj pro... so please reply.
yeah you can upload any audio track from your computer or any external device.
you can plug a microphone into the aux in at the front of the unit and freestyle vocal over a track that you're running and record it at the same time then play the recording back and scratch that too.,.,
this is a great machine once you master it the possibilities are endless!!
@chones84: I guess u still carry u'r vinyl crates around cause a laptop doesn't make you a dj, right? Those of us who've been djing for 20yrs plus, don't need to proove that we know how to beat match w/the pitch control....... that's how we started.
im a Dj for more than 20 years, and let me tell you all people, is Ok to use the Sync, because for the people dancing it doesn't make a difference, as long as you do a smooth mix is ok. on top, the most important thing is having the right song, and a good 1. is ok to use technology, it gives more time to do something else and be more creative
I totally agree, sure, it's great to know beatmatching, but if you have the tools to be better, why not use them, and like you said it does give you more time to be creative.
@chonez84 you lost ur f@#%ing mind??????????regardless what you use it doesnt matter as long as you have skills!!!!! it take 30 seconds to learn how to beat match with pitch control and 10 seconds to master it!!!!.....open mouth...insert foot!!!!!!!
