Makes me glad I bought some bootleg H&J DVDs just a year or so ago... we'll never see them on TV again.
Gawd I miss being a kid in the 50s... back then they let us grow up "innocent"; today young kids get assaulted and weighed down with all sorts of crap.
Give us a house to wreck, We'll tear it down by heck! Give us a house to wrench, We'll tear it down by heck. We'll pull out the pipes and tear down the walls and chop the chimney till it falls We'll have everything ????just pry and pick????? Just give us a house to wreck! Can anybody decipher that second to last line?
One of the funniest Heckle & Jeckle cartoons, this one from 1952. They're small-time demolition experts, see, and they're supposed to tear down the house that an escaped convict just happens to be hiding in....
I always remembered Heckle and Jeckle's Give Us A House To Wreck song!

I believe the line is, "to pry and peck", 'robert'...

When Heckle & Jeckle sing their duet in the middle of the song, Tom Morrison joined Roy Halee, instead of Roy overdubbing himself...

"We'll have everything to pry and peck."
Line 3 is actually "Give us a house to wreck", but the English accent throws it off.
This was one of my favorite H&J's growing up.

Definitely one of the better H&J's. For once, the soundtrack is memorable. If only Terrytoons had made more cartoons of this caliber.
