@j89014 he's playing upside down because it's a right-handed guitar, and he's a left-handed player. The guitar is indeed upside down. A) Thicker strings are at the bottom. Normally, they're at the top. B) the cutout in the base is usually beneath the fret board, it lets you hit the higher frets easier (trying to hit fret 15+ on an acoustic with no cutout is damned impossible unless you have freak fingers).
