Call me crazy but looks like artificial construction to me.My idea is blue stars support red ones because they are dying.I would call red stars ring CONFEDERATION , blue ring was made by them as nuclear Power Plant .The blue ring containing 400 stars is only a light-year across! Made by nature?I don't think so..The Red ring is about five light-years .the two discs appear to be in the same plane, they are related, but no one yet understands how either disc came into being. .....................

It would take some 35 billion years to get there on the fastest human-made object so far, Voyager 1. Never mind a hundred, that's about half a billion lifetimes! Even if we could travel at the speed of light, it would be something like 28,000 lifetimes before we got there.

Just wanted to clarify for everyone who commented earlier that blue stars are in fact hotter than red giants, and are blue due to their extreme heat

Could it be that the blue color is cause from the speed of the stars as they orbit the black hole? If the stars are young then are they moving away from the black hole? If they formed near the outskirts of the black hole then are the stars getting larger as they get closer to the black hole?

depends if the black whole is active and feeding when the black hole feeds the gas is sped up to incredible temperatures making the gas glow, thats how you can distinquish if it is a black hole, obviously the fast moving stars, when the black hole starts to feed again they will get sucked in then turned into atoms and the atoms will create new planets which is pretty cool because every new planet has the possibility to have life, even if it didnt before it got sucked in

i think at time traveling at light speed, if you move in a 3d set then time must be happening in every direction (that's why you happen in 3d along with it) and spiraling is an effect of time and space happening continuously. I imagine these stars are of a higher density than stars of the rim of the galaxy. They also may be receiving energy from the Back Hole's x-ray beams, which constantly ionizes the hot gases of the stars, keeping them blue.

The stars are not blue.The sky is blue because only the blue light from the sun is caught by objects and is reflected from them so that we see the as blue. DUH.
