  • Ohhh, I was off two years! "Your Morning Feature" was played on The Dr. Demento Show #90-03 - January 21, 1990. I've not been trying to find this half my life, I've been hunting for it over half my life!!!

  • The Spike Jones song I've been looking for, for the past 20 years, is "Your Morning Feature". It was recorded under the name "The Country Dodgers" which Spike Jones used for that and other 'naughty' songs that never got played on radio. "Your Morning Feature" has been broadcast ONE TIME on the Dr. Demento show back in 1992. Never again has it been broadcast anywhere in the world. I *had* it recorded, but I accidentally recorded over it a couple weeks later. Someone else must have it on tape!

  • Immortal!

  • Over-the-top NUTS! I love it! Happy Christmas 2011 and a Hopeful New Year 2012 to all. Please, drive sober and safe.

  • Dr. Demento and Stan Frieberg -- this one's for you! Oh yeah, Hoolihan (Bob Wells) and Big Chuck (Chuck Schadowski) (Cleveland Ohio's TV-8 in the mid-Sixties).

  • I remember this was on an advert for some drink (Schweppes?). Loved this song since then.

  • The man was a genius! Frank Zappa certainly gave him his due...

  • 1:00 so THATS where they got Quagmire's catch phrase! :D

  • This was in Brave little toaster to the rescue

  • Trilha sonora do programa Os Pankekas (Panquecas) da TV Tupi (a partir de 1:43)

  • Spike had one of the best goddamn bands in jazz history.

  • Spike Jones was back in his day what most comedians are in ours! This song is just a sample of his comedic genius that continues to tickle us silly right to this day, & then some!

  • How can anybody Dislike Spike Jones??

  • 1 person can't drink cocktails

  • this song kicks arse

  • some of the funniest shit i believe ive ever heard. died laughing 10+ minutes at this

  • only 1 dislike!

  • Classic!!!!

  • It was the first hit of his ever I listened, thanks to my parents' RCA double album. This guy was terrific! Thanks for posting.

  • Still funny shit, this old 78 rpm record gotta be worth some loot.

  • Spike's all-time biggest hit is also one of his laugh-out-loud funniest. Carl Grayson's too-earnest vocal and Mickey Katz's chorus of hiccups really make this one.

  • I never noticed 1:00 That's where they got Quagmire's catch phrase

  • @dowhatthouwilt911 I think that's "yibbity, yibbity."

  • Genius!

  • oh yeahhh....
