  • A redline a day keeps the carbon away!

  • Why are the speedometers set so low on these cars when their max speed is like 160 MPH, not km/h..... the car should have a 280 or 300 km/h gauge shouldn't it?

  • rx7 owners can't afford gas, they have an rx7

  • i think you might need gas.

  • Oil pressure does seem kinda low at idle... my old Camaro used to idle at about 40 PSI.

Maybe it's normal for a rotary engine to have such low oil pressure, I don't really know because my RX-8's oil pressure gauge is just a glorified idiot light: either you have pressure or you don't :(

  • His fuel light isn't even on...

  • 180mph ??

  • @iEzzio learn to read properly, it clearly says km/h!!

  • @iEzzio kph

  • i love how ur oil pressure gauge says 0 :(

  • in order to more effectively "clean carbon" from our rotary, you need to actually put a load on the engine. Drive it, rape the shit out of it a few times hitting the limiter and then youre good.

    free revving does nothing

  • y jst sit der reving gt sum fuel then u cn drive it

  • whys the oil pressure go so low, same thing with my FD unless I give it some gas..

  • @uunleashedd well with no pressure the system is low but when you create vacuum you get more pressure for the oil to flow... you do not need high pressure at the low rpm..

  • Lame. My mom's minivan sounds better with the muffler missing

  • @FatMatt1227 its sad your mom has a minivan..

  • At least your smart enough to warm the car up first haha

  • the oil gauge is competing with the rpm gauge lol

  • how much would one of these cost?

  • @sk8erfreak9242 5000-10000 $

  • @darkfrank159 ive seen cheaper, landed and cleared.

  • @darkfrank159 in shitty condition

  • sounds like Keisuke's FD3S, ROTARY FOR THE WORLD!!

  • are map sensors hard to replace

  • just cleaning the O2 sensor lol ive used that one a few times

  • yes they only come on when the car is heated

  • The fans will come on automatically, as any RX-7 owner would know....

  • @EfiniSeven the fans will not flow enough air to keep it cool if he revs it very long like that.

  • good luck with your 7 while reving it that high with no wind flow in your engine ...

  • the rz rx7's rev to 10k

  • i thought those things rev much higher like 9000 rpm maybe more

  • i love how da speedo only says 180kph....not even 130mph

  • haha i own this car now, its got full standalone gt35r turbo and a greddy front mount

  • fwiw mate, you will have better luck throwing carbon off if you are actually moving/under load when you rev up to the redline. If you *really* want to clean off the rotors then let the car warm fully (take her for a nice 20 min drive through the country, just to be sure and enjoy yourself) then feed a gallon of demineralized water through the two vac nipples on the UIM (one will be connected to your stock BOV, other should have a cap on it in stock form). Keep rev's from 3.5k -4.5k during..

  • wouldnt rotors exit the engine bay if you feed litres of water into vac lines ????

  • If the motors ported you want the idle @ 1000rpm or above depending on port size.

  • No gas ftw!! What's the oil pressure in? I see single digits

  • Idle is way too high!

  • No its not, from 1000 to 1500 is fine for a rotary engine. And they just dont sound right if they are run under 1000, they are made to be rev'ed higher.

  • I own a RX-7 and best idle is 800 RPM.

  • I own a 91' for me it runs best at 1200 RPM. But hey thats whats so much fun about cars we get to tune them to how we see fit. What year you got?

  • Yes of course, we can adjust easily the RPM. 1992 FD3S,

  • I got a 92 FD and yeah 800-900 is what you want.

  • My fc's idle at operating temps is 750

but when its warming up it goes from 3000 slowly down until it hits 750

  • i thought rx's have a MAF sensor not a MAP sensor? so if you have a boost leak your down on power not over fueling?

  • Beautiful :) I want one :) Right now :)

  • You require fuel, sir.

  • i heard that backfire :)

  • thats not a back fire, it's unburnt fuel leaving the aftermarket exhaust because of the sudden cut off air intering the rotor housing.

  • how many times do u need to rev to clear the carbon that builds up in the engine?

  • none people are dumb.

  • revving once a day keeps the carbon away :D

    Man that sounded gay.

  • hey u might wanna get sum fuel

  • Your fuel tank is empty . You better go get some gas if you can make it to the gas station.

  • @curlyMcwhirly thats not alot i sualy drive like this around town u still got like 4 galons there nothing to worry about

  • thats nice. how many do you have on your kar and did you have any serious problems with the engine? i'm waiting for my 95 to arrive from japan and i'm worried. it has about 40K miles

  • shitty they usualy like it till around 60 thou... no lies my 6 port blew up at 30,000 on a fresh rebuild. Aviation gas dont help either tho :D

  • Hi, this is a 1992 RX-7 FD3S (JDM). If your redline starts at 10,000 your car has an aftermarket tachometer and hopefully your engine has been tuned to handle that as well, since a stock eccentric shaft will start to warp and vibrate terribly at about 10,000rpm.

  • ahahah he don't have non of that he is trying to sould cool on youtube

  • agreed. not unless he mentiond p ports but sounds like hes got the ol stocky with MAYBE a tach upgrade LOL!! XD

my duce tach has nail polish on it from the previous owner(custom tach)

  • @paradoxbox1 actualy the ecentric shaft (as long as its ballence properly) will handel that kindof RPM fine. Its the stationary and rotor gears that will give up first, thats why hardend aftermarket internal gearsets are avalible.
