I'm convinced you are legitimately a goddess. you're my ultimate hooping inspiration. :) just curious, are you a trained dancer? You move like one! (if you are, I am too...tryin to work out how to better integrate that with my hooping)
wow, this next level is seriously mind blowing. That's incredible and I can't wait to see more. Loved meeting you in Bend and I so hope I can see you hoop in person again soon. You are just amazing!
wow, your next level is seriously mind blowing. That's incredible and I can't wait to see more. Loved meeting you in Bend and I so hope I can see you hoop in person again soon. You have amazing energy and flow.
hey. thanks for the response. ....it's funny- this floor stuff has accidentally gotten me leaving the hoop lately. it'll be back. for now i'm just dancing though
You are by far my favorite hooper! You make me laugh out loud while completely capivating me. I LOVE the way you move! I know you say your not a trained dancer but you definately are a natural! Im a trained latin dancer but I have my best moments of flow when I forget about the mechanics and just let go.
I was wondering, do you teach anywhere? Please tell me your in NY..lol.. I'd love to just hang, watch, and learn... Perhaps an exchange of techniques?
@LuvintheMambo hahah. oh my god! that's the best thing to wake up and see in the morning. ever. thanks a bazillion million trillion. hahah. i'm actually learning this stuff a bit from my boyfriend who is trained (a little... idk. maybe a lot. he's really good). i travel and teach workshops pretty often. sucks- i was just on the east coast w my dad in nj. and i used to live in baltimore! (saw your other DC mention).
Very cool...there is this one move I do on the ground that you should try. you are on your back flat and then you whip your legs around one at at time creating a stradle at one point. You use the mometnum of your legs to flip your body either around onto your belly or just to return to your back. I doubt this is a great explanation but I am sure you can figure it out :)
stepping out onto another ground i like it. keep it posted. you have a lot of good things in there. reminds me of the dance theory class we talked about at hoop con really pushing the body forming to the hoop extending the dance. looks goooooood =o)
awesome job, lady! i remember you were working on this when we were at hoop convergence and there was one, a tuck roll, you showed me that i've played with a few times...
do you mind if i try my hand at the "dynamic floor hooping" to see what i come up with? i promise to video and post to ya anything remotely cool ;)
Girl this is so exciting! I am working on very similar things! I think it is really important to be able to change levels not only with the hoop but with the body too! I hope that there is a wood floor at hoop camp! I would love to experiment with you. Super fun!
I see where you are going and I love it. Thanks for posting this video before you have it down tho, some of the parts you look so silly and it cracked me up, sometimes I forget that amazing hoopers aren't born that way, they have to practice too. Thanks for the encouragement, amusement and inspiration!!!!!!
P.s. my fav part is when your bootys in the air and you're rolling around on your back like a turtle
It's clear you have a dancer's body awareness. Your use of floor space and levels is either innate or you are getting great training from your dancer boyfriend! You have always been awesome, but now you are adding to your repertoire - totally mesmerizing!
Hahaha!! Total compliment that I'm cracking up over here. Man, you're so strange and unusual in the greatest way! I totally see what you're going for with the floor momentum stuff. Super inspiring! You're great.
you are so special! so unique! THE BEST OF THE BEST... always doing different things! experimenting! CONGRATULATIONS! hooper of the century :) no one like you!!
