This is my favorite episode. She had me cringing like I was the one getting into trouble. Cliff kept me laughing. "Vanessa, If you plan on running away, please don't take my car!" I absolutely LOVE the cosby show.

this is one of my favorite episodes especially because of Phylicia Rashads performance. She was a angry parent that she expressed it so well the audience was nervous plus she did it without cursing Vanessa out talking loud and rolling her neck and eyes which is often the stereotypical portrayal of Black women

Bill Cosby created this show to portray a well off African American family with wholesome values in the 80's there was not a lot of black families where both parents had good jobs most families were more like the Jeffersons or The Good Times family. What Vanessa did in this episode would scare the daylights out of any parent..so, I can see how she would react like that. That scene was more real because of the scared and shocked emotions that Claire went through in this episode.
