  • @tolga117 Soldiers automatically generate radio chatter if they are in the same squad. Why would a soldier talk when he's got no friends to listen to him?

  • @scruffums123 hey, i was just saying, lol. and i said it because with assaults indoors there are all kinds of options for the ai to take. whereas with outside like this, its just like one big corridor.

    no need to get defensive, i wasn't attacking or anything.

  • Now this is what i want to see when i search for gmod battle >:D And yes, i know this isn't GMOD, but this is kidna better than having tons of lag with 20 rebels vs 20 combine just standing still right?

  • Umm... on the AI relationship thing. I can still hurt combine soldiers even after I have applied the relationship thing, so I was wondering if you are running this under episodic?

    Fiddle with that, it's pretty easy to figure out the keyvalues and flags.

  • How do you trigger an env_explosion...is it just like any other entity? because mine never work

  • its like any other yust make a trigger (when you pick something up or walk in to an area or something with the env_explosion as the subject and explode as the action

  • that's amazing im going to guess u used an NPC rally point and a couple of other things to make the reble npc's hate u but how did you make the reble on the tower fire the rocket launcher in that one spot? or is that covered by the npc's AI? and i think that stupidstudios123 should go fuck himself fucking asshole he is you put a lot of time into this man that guy is a fag.   • Odd... I may be wrong, but when you set the disposition with a friendly npc to hate or neutral, you should be able to hurt them (I've only tried with rebels).

  • Unfortunately that is so. If a Combine soldier and a rebel went 1v1, the rebel would win because of the programming (the rebels naturally have more health and accuracy than soldiers). I personally love the soldiers more, they seem much more professional.

    To get the soldiers to ignor you or even be your friend, you use an ai_relationship entity to set their attitude towards you. This can also be dynamically changed while the map is running. The keyvalues are straight forward.
