This series is awful, the special effects and storyline is God-awful. The series creators should have made Robin Hood more dark and elusive, and the enemies far more shit-heel. Again, being that we're in the twentieth century, us civilians of the First World have higher standards- at least... I thought we did.

I don't think the BBC RH "beats every series or movie from the past" (Robin 0377)- I personally love Errol Flynn's film version- but BBC's version still rocks!
The show is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously (as is evident from the at times fairly cheesy costumes). It's developing into possibly the best television show airing today! :D
Very well made trailer; unfortunately for the most part this series was average to poor and it just lacked the depth and immersion of the 80's series (which is far superior imo). Also Michael Praed made a much better Robin Hood.

The BBC version of Robin Hood is rubbish. Looks like it's been co-produced by Disney. Average actors, weak acting, poor script and cheap-ish production. If your gonna do something, do it properly, or don't do it at all. Waste of money!

With the money and capabilities the BBC has, and the amount of talented British actors we have, I just thought this version of Robin Hood could/should've been miles better. An epic like BBC 2's Rome. It's more like pantomime acting than grade A stuff.
I will concede that Jonas Armstrong is a bit 'nimble' to play the role of a man who takes on the Sheriff's men and defeats them everytime. A bit illogical that BBC gave him the upperhand each time(physically)....

England was, and in some parts, still has a strong link back to gaelic/celtic roots. Its been proved that Celtic blood flows through more of this part of the British Isles than you might realise.

the braveheart soundtrack? Scottish bagpipes? and is that Dolores O'Riordan singing around the 2:10 mark. the 80s show used Clannad music for its opening. whats with england and apropriation of gaelic culture?

England was, and in some parts, still has a strong link back to gaelic/celtic roots. Its been proved that Celtic blood flows through more of this part of the British Isles than you might realise.
