  • lol omg i remeber watching this it was awesome!

  • Xabarín Club!

  • It looks like Chewy, not like a werewolf.

  • OMFG I REMEMBER THIS WHEN I WAS A KID!!!!

  • Okay, in the late 80s, CBS had a great list of kids shows that aired on Saturday Mornings. Here is a list of kids programs that ARE on DVD: Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Garfield & Friends, Hey Vern It's Ernest, and Mighty Mouse. And Here's the list of the remaining shows that AREN'T on DVD: Teen Wolf, The Muppet Babies, CBS Storybreak, Superman (the 80s cartoon version), The Californian Raisins. Don't know what's on CBS Saturday Mornings these days, but the late 80s was good time for kids TV.

  • @ShadowChanceSassy pretty sure that the 80's Superman animated series is on DVD now.

  • @ShadowChanceSassy CBS Saturday mornings today is Cookie Jar TV, with shows like Busytown Mysteries, Horseland, Trollz, and the Doodlebops. A few years back, CBS had DIC shows like Sabrina, and for a short time, they had Nickelodeon shows. The bottom fell out in 1997 when Pres. Clinton and the government issued that all network kids shows had to have some educational material. That year, CBS had Wheel 2000, The SI for Kids Show, New Ghostwriter Mysteries, and The Weird Al Show.

  • @ShadowChanceSassy The lineup from 1997-98 hurt The Weird Al Show because Al had restraints on the humor and fun he usually does in his concerts, AL TV specials, etc. due to the E/I installments put on by the government. The season before (1996-97) CBS had The Mask, Ace Ventura, Beakman,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Timon and Pumbaa,Secrets of the Cryptkeeper's Haunted House, Project G.e.e.K.e.R, and Bailey Kipper's P.O.V. As you can see, the government screwed kids of enjoying Saturday morning.

  • I only watch these for the wolf howl... :/

  • As a kid, I never liked much the cartoon itself, but I would always listen to that kickass intro song before changing th channel!

  • Michael J. Fox...STILLL HOWLIN'!!!

  • oh man, eveytime this came up i did the 'Thriller"dance, Soo fittable

  • I saw this out of a desire and the fact that I have a full respect for the cartoons I grew up with...WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CRAP DID I JUST WATCH?!

  • @aoinatafanboy84 I Say this*

  • 80's cartoons ruled!

  • I never watched this whilst it was on tv. But my mum bought me a VHS back in the says. LOVED IT!

  • I remember catching this on Saturday mornings.

    Had to have been '87-'88.

  • Wow!

  • MTV is such a copycat.

  • now this is my childhood sat AM toons

  • @specterkev yeah sat mornings jus isnt the same. I kno im 34 but hell if sat morning could go back to like they use to be hell ill get up early an watch em wit my son...lol

  • @specterkev yep!

  • That opening organ riff was awfully close to being "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". Luckily, Iron Butterfly didn't sue...

  • i used to watch that every summer holiday in greece

  • I dunno, this looks cool like I'd like to have seen it one time in my life but it just seems soo lame..

  • Teen Chewbacca!

  • guys what was the name of the episode that featured a band with a singer called "punk lizard" or something?? thank u!

  • What the fuck?

  • What the hell. MTV's teen wolf definitely is better than this. I see this as the kind of stuff you think is crazy to watch after moving up from Scooby- Doo. MTV's version is definitely more dark and humorous to people of teenage years and above

  • @USArmyRedneck *is more dark and humorous and APPEALING to people of teenage years and above

  • I prefer this version before they Twi-Harded it.

  • @DragonLord1975

You're an idiot, the show is nothing like Twilight.

  • @TableKMusicVideos That's the point I was making. This was WAY better than today's version.

  • @DragonLord1975

No I was saying that today's version is not anything like Twilight, my point was that today's version is WAY better than this cartoon. But it doesn't matter because trying to compare a comedy cartoon to a live action drama makes no sense.

  • It sounds like they ripped this song from weird science

  • say what you want but this is WAY better then the mtv remake

  • @wickedklown50187

No it isn't, and besides it's not a remake. It's just loosely based on the movie.

  • Oh God.. MTV's version for the win!

  • MTV'S teen wolf !

thumps up if u love that better than this

  • why the fuck are people comparing the old teen wolf to the new teen wolf

the 80s were for people who were still getting of the crack smoking seventies, execpt they discorved leather.

THE 80s , the decade of hell.

  • @MrEddieswife because the new Teen Wolf is some shit about popular depressing people expanding on jacob from twilight and obviously this came before the new one sooo... to me New Teen Wolf is crap compared to this one AND it has a much better intro theme

  • I'm going to hell today!

  • used to have this on video :D I was obsessed with this, if only I still had them so I could watch them now T.T

  • how old is this becus this 2011

  • Chewbacca?!

  • I love Teen Wolf.

  • Is the new live action show based on this?

  • @Inkan1969 It's completly different

  • If you do Netflix they have a bundle of retro toons now. BraveStarr, Bill & Teds Excellent Adventures, Voltron (Vehicle and Lion version), He-Man, She-Ra, The Littles, Inspector Gadget, SHAZAM, Fat Albert from the 80s, Ghostbusters (Filmation). They invested in a ton of Filmmation properties. They had Jayce n the Wheeled Warriors, it expired :( Robotech is expiring July 1, hopefully it comes back. Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite. Stream them to put on Netflix's radar n support retro!

  • this looks so bad i am creeped oout.

  • Was that Chewbacca at 0:!6 o_O

  • thump up if u goin to watch the one on mtv tonite

  • for some odd reason, i like his wolf self in the cartoon better

  • ah a similar story like that...I call it TM wood..

  • i didnt like how they made him being a wolf a secret, in movie everyone knew he was a wolf??

  • This is too good. I was like three and Rick Moranis' Graveyard High was the gnarliest thing out there next to Monster Squad.

I also drew this gnarly teen wolf poster, so search for John Edward Sullivan.

  • Why didn't the werewolf design looks anything like the movie design ? I mean they actually show the movie model along side the cartoon design in the opening credits !

  • Why didn't they get the actor to sound like Michale J.

  • Could you imagine what Teen Wolf would be like if a live action tv show were to be produced by Joss Whedon? Teen wolf with a Buffy the Vampire Slayer feel to it.

  • @pyrogyra72 you maybe on to something there :o

  • Tenn wolf I'm gonna howl today too!!!!!Hauuuuuuwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

  • How come Styles' shirt doesn't read "What Are You Looking at Dicknose?"

  • looks like shit

  • what the hell, is that chewbacca singing?

  • .......................

  • Fake

  • ''only my friends Lupe and Styles know my hairy secret"

  • You look sharp Scott is it? Love it

  • Uh... this opening is so 80's it has AIDS.

  • @SASH37 Holy shit this is funny :D

  • The 80s were not kind to Chewy.

  • wonder if there is anybody revealing there own "teen wolf" in the background in this

  • @TVindustries5000

Nice nod to the penis at the end of the movie in the bleachers lol. I'm a HUGE fan of the film, can quote every word of it, but I liked this cartoon too. Cartoons in the 80s and early 90s were the best. So was everything else actually.

  • Good to see Chewbacca got work after the original Star Wars trilogy

  • When I was a kid I actually wished I could be a werewolf. I even ran around hunched and howling at random.

Yeah, this show was THAT awesome.

  • @AcidGuardianPT I still do it.

  • Wait... there was a cartoon about this movie!? :O

Say, could you show me where I can watch these episodes! :)

  • Better as a movie , ok cartoon.

  • omg i forgot about this!!!

  • cool open theme

  • God, that's so fucking 80s. Let me guess. This was the only time you turned off your Atari?

  • @PoweredButchZ No!

There was also Nintendo . ;)

  • I never seen this when I was a kid!

  • "I'll die if anyone sees me like this!" - While a guy is standing right next to him looking at him.

  • @AmpersandsUnited that guy is Styles, Scott's best friend and he knows Scott is a werewolf...I get a bigger kick out of the scene where he has a bush in the car and is trying to hide behind it...lol =D

  • I'm so old I actually remember this show, I hardly ever watched it cause it came on too early in Dallas like 6:30 on saturday

  • @kdj997 yeah i was in el paso during its first airing and missed it all the time too, this and pee-wees playhouse.

  • There's Boof and Styles. But where's Chub?

  • I miss these kinds of cartoons. Brings back a lot of memories.

  • Woah they made a cartoon of the movie? haha 80s ruled!

  • He's cute. :)

  • "Oh no! Not again!" I remembered this being a cartoon when I was a young teen. I loved Teen Wolf the movie so I automatically forced myself to love this too. Thanks for posting this.

  • shit .. why cant 2010 have shows like this im 14 and i'm in a band calld city wolf.. and we play 80s dance rock music ..

  • @OfficialAvrilArrow You are 14 and you love the 80s!? You are the most awesome 14 year old in the world. :) I just want to adopt you. Just kidding. But you are awesome for loving the 80s. I didn't know any teens out there appreciated the "rad" style of the 80s.

  • teen wolf was shit

  • The song sounds like one of the ending themes for Resident Evil 2. =O

    Random comment, I know.

  • Another great cartoon I remember watching when I was a kid. This takes me back....

  • my hairy secret in my pants LOL

  • wooooow i cannot believe i stumbled across this vid...i used to watch this when i was little...but it's been burried so deeply in the pile of old memories that i needed this vid to recall these old times...oh and it's a full moon comin' on tonight-quite a coincidence huh?-soooo...beware...!!! lol

  • are you kidding! 0:18, Chewbacca was in Teen Wolf!? LMFAO

  • It's funny how 80's it is...he's rockin' bright neon colored shirts, cassette Walkman, Ray-Ban's and a cap (worn backwards, obviously).

  • That has to be Townsend Coleman as Scott Howard and Billy Vera doing the vocals on the theme song.

  • Shows in the 1980s was just plain fun, and it didn't matter how realistic they were, they were alot of fun to watch!!

  • IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!!! The 1980s, that is!!!

  • The Older cartoons were better in my opinion

  • @JaredKinter1981 You are SO right! They made sense. And didn't have singing maps in them. (I hate Dora)

  • @JaredKinter1981 Very popular opinion.

  • @JaredKinter1981 no kidding :(

  • You know, I think this would make a great live action tv show. Do it the same way they did "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Tone down the comedy, make it darker, and include newer conflicts that were not featured in the movies or cartoons, like Werewolf hunters, and even (in the spirit of Underworld and Twilight,) a war with vampire clans. And poor scott is caught in the middle.

  • @pyrogyra72 I think there was kind of a live action show to this called Big Wolf on Campus. It was slightly darker but still kept the comedy.

  • @TechSecretHeart I just found out, shortly after my post, that MTV is working on a TV version of Teen wolf. The emphasis being on the romance. (Still, I wonder if it will have the tone of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." )

  • I wouldn't get your hopes up. MTV has been known to make cruddy TV shows and remakes. This is just my opinion but I think you should really just stick with the original version.

  • @TechSecretHeart

u r right--I'm tired of all the remakes--they usually suck. why not just put the originals back on the air instead??

  • @cybertail I recently watched the new Care Bears movie with Oopsie to see if it would be adorable like the 80s ones and I kept thinking they looked like playdoh. I was so bummed. I kept complaining to my husband saying "This is absolute crap." Why did they change everything? Anyway, I agree. Obviously.

  • To hell with all you haters. Saturday cartoons in the late 70's to mid 80's were the bomb. What we got now? Nothing!

  • fuckin' rite

  • LOL! thanks.

  • Most 80's shows were just to sell toys and other merchandising. Getting nostalgic about them is retarded. There were rare exceptions like The Real Ghostbusters that had good writers behind them, but even friggin' Transformers was nothing more than an infomercial for metal/plastic junk. (Which is why I can't get angry at the Michael Bay movies...his movies terrible as they are are actually an improvement over how bad the show was.)

  • Bay makes decent movies. Most 80's shows and movies and music were and are the best and still are. Getting nostalgic is remembering the best times not the so called shit we have for entertainment now which is crappy ass music some good but not much, crappy reality shows and out the ass remakes of classics because Hollywood imagination is dead.

  • The 80s had a brief creative explosion at the early 80s from new wave music and then everything got very quickly homogenized and bland and commercialized. Ask DEVO about that.

There were also a lot of terrible tv shows in the 80s. No one wants to remember those though. But if you get nostalgic over 'small wonder' then you need your brain examined.

As for modern music its now easier than ever for artists outside the mainstream to be heard. If you cant find good music you aren't looking.

  • @Ultrasecond yeah there was some bad shows in the 80's but compared to the garbage now it was minor. Most music now just proves that wannabe singers can record shit and make money off it. Some good but compared to 20 to 25 years ago not much.

  • @silverrhawk dude, i agree with you 100%. Movies, music an tv shows will never beat the older days or the 80's. It sucks because it's hard to find a good movie out there anymore. we use way to much computer animation now a days, and we are lazy and un creative when making movies now. thats mostly why when i see a crap show on tv now...fake played out reality crap..that makes me want to stray more and go on here to watch the stuff that is at least worth watching.

  • @WillyWolverine Amen to that. and that is why I collect dvds of the older 80's and 70's shows so I can watch good shows and older cds to listen to good music whenever I choose but that is me.

  • @silverrhawk I agree with you, although I grew up in the 90s, I still appreciate some of the old 80s and even 70s shows and I sure as hell agree that todays stuff is horrible.

I don't even watch much TV cause most of it lost its creativity and imagination.

  • And what is even better with respect to your comment is that even some one of your age and the younger generation appreciates the "classic stuff" old but good and knows it is just that.

    Kudos!

  • Yeah! I've watched a couple things from the 80s and 90s. I miss those days. The shows were less superficial and more entertaining. Some were complete with an interesting story.

Todays junk isn't like the old days.

  • come check out my channel, older stuff you may enjoy.

  • 0:05 my exact comments when everytime I saw this crap on tv!!!!!!!!!

  • What the F!, there was a teen wolf cartoon and no one ever told me. So much time spent doing other stuff, when i could of been watching this =(

  • trust me when I say this... YOU DIDN'T MISS ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, is it safe to say the movie was better?

  • well it couldn't of been worse!

  • Holy shit this took me back to when I was a kid!!!! I always wondered why I like watching wear wolf movies. For years the image of the wolf with shades played in my head. Now after so many years I found where it was from, the intro song to this cartoon.

  • kick ass cartoon that still HOOOWL!

  • classic i have a few episodes on a tape somewhere i'm going to go watch it good old memory's

  • before i never noticed that at 00.49 the dad was a ware wolf too

  • the whole family are werewolves

  • It was cool they made 1 great 80's movie into a Saturday cartoon.

  • You don't have to get angry at us. Just cause you didn't have a tv when you were little.

  • OMG! I used to watch this!!! I miss when Saturday mornings were worth getting up for!

  • I feel ya Blarneybaby...

  • in italy this was very famous...i used to watch it:)

  • Back when I was a kid, I actually liked the cartoon better than the movie. Nowadays,...it's a toss-up. Cartoon's still good after all these years.

  • One of the best cartoon themes ever, hands down! I remember when Teenwolf would come on after Pee-Wee's Playhouse, and it would be lots of fun to see this released on DVD one day. I know the chances are extremely low, but I'm just saying.

  • I used to watch this cartoon on Saturday mornings on CBS I believe.......what a throwback intro.

  • To simplelife88393,

Why get so worked up over a harmless little thing such as a cartoon intro. To compare this or anything else that is make believe to one of the worst things that happened in the history of man, if not the worst is just arrogant and sad. I am not angry at you only full of pity for your ignorance. Hopefully in time you will not let the unimportant things in life influence your behavior. If it does then you may be in for a sad, sad life. Take care.

  • Wow! i remember this show!!!!!

  • lol "hey grampa...."

  • Hey, only in the 80's you get cartoons of transforming robots, man toting a sword while riding a green tiger, Jem and a werewolf toon to name a *few*. In short a VARIETY.

Now its a badly drawn strange talking sponge who lives in a pinapple under the sea.

    WTF?!

  • simplelife88393,

shut your sissy ass up & quit crying like a bitch..

  • It's fun being different if you have a healthy attitude.

    Preach on, faceless singer.

  • Cartoon Michael J. Fox.

  • I didn't watch this when it was on (steadily).

  • Teen Roach

  • The beginning riff sounds a lot like the Weird Science theme.

  • Wow, that was so much worse than I remembered

  • LOl I agree. Its funny how a little time can hinder our childhood

  • yeah

  • but it's good crap.

  • ha ha ha yeah it is good crap

  • This looks like crap.

  • Better than the crap they show on tv today.

  • thank you i forgot all about this show

  • was a good show

  • it was good show

  • Good memories. ^^

  • the 80's rule!!!!!

best movies, cartoons and color schemes!!!

    this is sooo cute!

  • Turning into a monster was big in the 80's... what a decade.

  • oh no when the moon is full Scott turns into an Italian woman!!!

  • Yeah I agree but I think the back to the future cartoon is okay

  • so is the real ghostbusters.

  • Don't forget The Mask

  • However, movies based off of cartoons are usually worse, like He-Man, etc.

  • I totally forgot about this! This and Pee Wee's playhouse, Saturday mornings of '86 and '87. Great times!

  • brings back memories, sat. mornings- honey comb cereal ect. thanx

  • kljlkjl
