Дорогие фаны, смотрим два клипа, этот и с Сандрой, и отдаём себе отчёт, кто попадает в фанеру, а кто даже рядом не находился. ..выдаюзчийся продюстер Михаель Крету снял красотку Сандру (ныне также Крету) и решил ей преподнести мир на блюдечке. А если учесть, что голос т.н. Сандры не изменился на протяжении всех альбомов и сольников, а Хайке канула в лету, то как-то на ум приходит аналогичный случай в отечественной по-пиндустии с гр. Мираж

Note to add, In the Sandra lip-sync version Jasmin and Michaela look rather bored and going through the motions. Here they look more animated and energetic here (especially Michaela). And unlike the later video where she appears slightly overweight, Jasmin looks good here. She kinda reminds me of Sybil Danning a little bit by her appearance. It all makes me wonder if Arabesque would have had more success if Heike had not left , but I guess we'll never know.

I just discovered this song this past friday night! (coincidence?) and I'm kinda torn on this one. while Heike Rimbeau is pretty, she is not the stunner Sandra is. But she was the superior vocalist. It is her voice that makes this sound so ABBAesque. I know she left the trio to have a family, but i think Arabesque would have sounded better had she stayed. And yes the two backup singers/dancers look much happier than the later version which was taped in Japan a few years later.

If Heike Rimbeau was the name of the first singer, what is the name of the blond girl who is dancing with Michaela Rose?

Heike voice is not bad, why did they replace her by Sandra?

@jerrymail Jasmin Vetter is the Allison Mack looking Girl dancing opposit to Michaela. I also noticed they look HAPPIER in this take of the Heike version that the Sandra lip-sync version. That must mean they really loved Heike who actually had a French name Laure seems rather German.

she left the group because they had to go on a tour to japan and seh didn't want to leave her newborn child, so she was replaced by sandra ann lauer.

@xxxdita No, in this song it's this girl's voice not Sandra's. This is before Sandra arrived. When they replaced this girl by Sandra, they used this same voice when Sandra was lipsing to the song.

This isn't Sandra's voice. The lead singer on this track is Heike Rimbeau. In the other videos, Sandra lip-syncs to this track.

Listen to "Marigot Bay", that song shows off Sandra's voice very well. Her voice is lighter and sweeter than Heike's.
