123jogger123 - clamping is done by a magnet. The working principle is exactly like you want to do it. The very tip of the nozzle is attached to the brass body like a BNC plug. For more info on nozzles go to Madell's site
@matt9741399 - looks like the price went up quite a bit. Worth trying to drill it yourself. Not an easy task I should tell you. Shop around for the hollow shaft motors. Ask Lin Engineering about their price.
@aquaticinstruments For my project, I think I'll end up bringing the air outlet through the side of the nozzle assembly rather than through the motor. Not as elegant, but hopefully just as effective.
Thank you for showing :-)
Hollow stepper motors are expensive so I decided to do it like matt from the side of my nozzle holder. Some questions about yours:
The clamping is done my a magnet?
If I understand the principle right, the nozzleholder can change the nozzle like a BNC plug. Right?
I want to do the change by moving the nozzle in a slot and then moving up so the magnets are released.
From what material is the nozzle itself? Rubber, plastics, metal?

Did you machine the nozzles yourself, or are they off-the-shelf? Did you drill out the stepper motor shaft?

@matt9741399 - the nozzles and the hollow shaft stepper are standard off-the-shelf parts from Madell.

@aquaticinstruments $298 for a motor with a hole drilled though it!?

totaly great idea. So are there any copy right for this idea?

tool holder from fuse legs. Great idea.

@erhanzeynel - that's Madell's idea, not mine.

Looks funny in the beginning :)
That machine seems to have great precision! (and speed!)
