  • Simply amazing music.

  • I can't buy the freaking song without that stupid part 2:57-4:15.

I want THIS version, not with the stupid story in the middle. -.-

  • What genre would this be considered?

  • @emz33 I was going to call them progressive rock, due to their eclectic sound on El Cielo and other concept albums. But for now, let's just call it Rock, shall we? :-)

  • 1:01 Black nail polish on his little toes :3

  • Nick Jonas wasted 26 seconds of my life.

  • so, I heard my friends mentioning these guys in passing and never bothered to look them up until now.

I have been missing out. God damn. I'm almost in tears. This is unbelievable.

  • @ObeseChess love this comment. How I felt when I found this song its fucking awesome

  • The most amazing band of all time! I <3 Dredg. COME TO CINCINNATI!!!

  • This album is incredible, such a great concept album.

  • love the snare

  • Great song.

  • i love then! best ever!

  • Old Dredg > New Dredg... but still... better than most mainstreamish crap coming out nowadaysa

  • DUDE THIS BAND IS THE SHIT!..... STILL

  • If you are truely interested in dredg explore their earlier albums such as oprh conscious and juggernaut.

-dredg fan for 10+ years now.

  • @tophere707 Totally agree, I started on El Cielo so I am around 6 or 7 years now. Can't wait for the new album, because to be honest this album was a bit bland for me.

  • why do they cut the best part out?!

  • I don't understand how this song isn't super popular. It seems like it could be all over the radio.

  • @jwalker627 Kinda reminds me of Coldplay for some reason.

  • Maria Brink of In This Moment sings this as the intro to their show...I've been trying for weeks to figure out what it is haha

  • Like the sound of the guitar at 2:45

  • Woa, they totally left out the most important part of the song.... wtf

  • SUCKS!

  • A 30 second advertisement...seriously?

  • i'm suing dredg because this song rocked my penis off

  • shameful. this video's been out almost a full year and it only has 40k views. it makes me hope that in the future, bands like dredg will be the pink floyd of the present and not people like justin bieber.

  • I have all their albums, love em all, seen em half a dozen times...just wish they had better stage presence. That alone would reach out far to new fans. I just saw them wednesday and all they do is stand in place. I just want so much for these guys bc they deserve it!

  • @shaygoose i hear what you're saying about stage presence, but sometimes the best bands don't need real engaging stage presence. the music alone is enough to hypnotize you.. i've never seen dredg live though so i'm probably not the best judge

  • @Bullion4 dredg is awesome live :D. Best experience ever. Their stage presence was fitting for the music. Mellow, methodical, harmonious. Just movements when needed.

  • I WANT THE MISSING VERSES IN THIS SONG BACK.

  • @boombangbeep Yeah, I hear you. Their disappearance really irked me.

  • @spunkylovechild we need to like... do something... I sware when this video first came out they were in it!

  • Man, I just recently discovered this band from the Circa Survive tour. I'm quickly loving them. :)

  • Of almost all of the modern bands I've listened to, Dredg is the least afraid to take steps in completely new directions with each album, while still retaining the contemplative and emotional tone that they started all the way back with Kayasuma and Is Not Everything. Yeah, I'll admit that they are not as heavy or ambitious as they once were, but try and find another band with albums like Lietmotif, El Cielo and Pariah in the same catalogue. I have yet to hear a song of theirs I dislike.

  • @spunkylovechild I agree with you. I think Thrice and The Dear Hunter are contenders to another band like Dredg. Also, Between the Buried and Me isn't afraid to change direction, either. BTBAM changes from Silent Circus to Alaska to Colors then to The Great Misdirect. They have amazing songs you just have to appreciate the "beautiful noise" that comes before the softer portion of the song. Check out Mordecai if you get a chance. : )

  • check out my Dredg remix - I was the contest winner from earlier this year - for my remix of "Gathering Pebbles"

    Enjoy - Rate - Comment!!

    -Albino 9

  • Just saw these guys live with circa survive and they were beast!

  • Hes got skills

  • I own the small keyboard lol

  • God the lead singer is so awesome! His voice is like "BEWM! I CAN SING MOTHAFUCKAHS!!!!

  • just saw them with circa survive in ft. lauderdale:)

  • Love this band such great talent. I get to see them today with circa survive so stoked started listening to this band in 97 glad for others to check them out and enjoy them.

  • sounds like every fuckin song out there

  • @dapunkof1975 seriously. like what happened to the Leitmotif and El Eielo sound? This is sooooooo weak.

  • @dankestbudz420 I don;t get it...its like they slaughtered this song? When it was played live when it first came out it was amazing/powerful? But this just doesn't sound like dredg...

  • @CommanderNipplestar everyones gotta hate you

  • @armandgreene14 Dredg is very artstic. Check out Bug Eyes and Ode to the Sun by Dredg. Bug Eyes is pretty mainstream sounding and a great song, but I have never heard it on the radio? Ode to the Sun is pretty mainstream sounding too...Anyways plz stop replying, I am getting sick of commenting.

  • I love drews art. So Sick!

  • You know Dredg are lonely. Desperate. And weird. Like they stay in a room for a long time thinking about things no one else does. But I can relate.

  • i just discovered this band and i have 3 of their songs on my ipod already. lovin' it!

  • i hear they are gonna be playing with animals as leaders and circa survive...... thats gonna be awesome

  • @marfinious I'm going to that show, it's gonna be great.

  • Their drummer is fucking AWESOME!

  • @ooberpwnage

Yessir- Dino owns the world. Live shows he plays the keyboard at the same time. As if his drumming style wasn't awesome enough already

  • @ooberpwnage Ever watch him continue to play vigorously even as they dismantle his set after a show? Fucking mesmerizing.

  • super cool video!

  • OMGPOP FTW!!

  • Dredg is so unique, i just cant describe the feeling that i get every time i hear their songs. I L O V E D R E D G

  • @CannabisGirl420 u might of been sittin on a sharp object when u heard it... mystery solved...SMOKE THAT!

  • acabo de descubrir a esta bandOoTa que eS uN enDulSante para los oidos i un regalote para el alma !!!!!!!!! be careful. dredg

  • Wheres the love for Lietmotif? Symbol Song? Penguins In The Desert? Anyone?

  • @Dontblink4206 Lechium and Traversing the Arctic... for me :)

  • @Dontblink4206 Lietmotif is their masterpiece. While they have yet to really meet its quality as a cohesive concept album, I don't think that should discount their more recent stuff. El Cielo through now are all fantastic albums.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dontblink4206 Lietmotif and Symbol Song are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love how Dino incorporates drumming and piano playing at the same time...he definitely inspired me to practice it...not easy either I must say!

  • been hooked since el cielo, their best cd in my opinion

  • who the fuck cares about mainstream! my fucking god! why does everybody always have to say if they go mainstream or somethig! god dam it! its their living maybe they need more money or something, but either way who gives a fuck MUSIC IS MUSIC underground mainstream or if you play in your garage. just let it be, and listen. ENJOY!

  • fupa

  • catch without arms was, in my opinion, their best album. With El Cielo at a really close 2nd. This album though, idk, it sounds too mainstream and uninspired. Perhaps they'll come back with a really great album. All bands have their ups and downs, i'm sure. Or they'll keep putting out shitty albums, who knows? They were a great band, for now.

  • these guys kinda remind me of an american mew. love em

  • they were a decent art rock band, now they sound mainstream and cheesy. It's obvious that Dredg now chases the emo-teen penguin...

  • they r simply amazing, love this band damn it!

    XD <3

  • would love to get my hands on the shortened "video version" of this song

  • Comment removed

  • anyone else understand the message?

  • @sk84life209 been tryin to figure that out

  • nice quality (:

  • The members of Dredg are incredible talented and amazing. I'm so glad they are finally getting the recognition they deserve! I wish they had not shortened this song though, them middle part is so excellent!

  • @kmudrakify respectfully, i think it distracts to much from the catchy simplicity of the rest of the song. it sounds less like a breakdown and more like a seperate song altogether

  • only 11k views and then people tell me they sound poppy. It seems otherwise :) The song has a message, unlike the MTV crap.

  • i wish they released the shortened version of this song on the album

  • My God these guys are awesome. What I still can't believe is that the one time they came near my hometown they got booed off the fucking stage. I wish people around here appreciated more than just fucking rap culture...

  • @ZombieAutopilot0 could be country, like where i live. count your blessings...well wait a minute, i don't know which is worse

  • @ZombieAutopilot0 Yeah, I am so sorry...I can't believe they would be treated like that :( :( Then again, not many people are open-minded enough to try and appreciate TRUE art and feelings like we can.:)

  • I remember back in 05 I tried to do a youtube search on dredg and there were about 2 videos. I'm glad a great band has gone further than northern california.

  • I love this song... but my only complaint is this: It feels like they're trying to hard to sound like their second album, El Cielo. Which is okay and all, I suppose, but... I don't know. This album just doesn't feel the same.

Good songs, but it's got a funky feel to it. Hmm...

  • @OrangeStainedGlass Because it's not the same.

  • I love this song so much, but I don't like this video's version of the song. It is missing the best part.

  • Great :)

  • It sounds like Morrisey and Circa Survive had a baby. Not that that's bad.

  • this song was on the waterborne soundtrack. great fucking movie.

  • which one is that? is it a movie? tell me please

  • Been listening to dredg for a little over four years now.

I still can't figure out why they're not playing Dodger Stadium yet. They're one of the most accessible-yet-diverse bands I know of.

  • @TheProgNerd I just found them the other day. LOVE them, this is going to be a tough question to answer but... I heard a song on the radio they were singing. The lyrics had something to do with an island or a boat... do you know what song I'm talking about?

  • @snookion899 I can't imagine them being on a radio, but that could just be my area. Is there anymore information on that song you could provide? Also keep in mind you can usually call your radio station and ask. Unless you found the song already.

  • @Shaiina It wasn't on the radio per say, it was on the xbox live radio... which is pretty sweet. I can't fully remember to be honest other than they mentioned a boat or island... ugh its been a while since I've heard it..

  • @snookion899 Not That Simple?

  • @snookion899 try planting seeds idk

  • @TheProgNerd to play at a place like dodger stadium you need to be signed to a gigantic major label, which is something that they don't want, i'm sure.

  • @TheProgNerd That's because they're GIANTS fans! lol Well at least I think they would be.

  • @TheProgNerd they're not playing Dodger Stadium because they're Giants fans...

  • @ torresjo - i agree. I have that "I know everything there is to know about music" friend. One time we were chilling when this video came on. He said they sound like Interpol, and out of instinct my elbow just darted and hit him right in the face.

  • They deserve success

  • amen.

  • man i remember when these guys were just a local band and now they are huge from where they came. just stoked everyone can enjoy the music all over the world now.

  • Esta canción me encanta,es estupenda . El video lo encuentro muy autentico.Soy

    músico y lo copiaría.

  • @sanchezsick1 hell yea. thanks for not sounding like an elitist dredg fan, btw.

  • @crazyfool619 well thanks, its just some times people get all

butt hurt and say things like they sold out or people dont even know the real

dredg. well i say Look into them and enjoy it as much as possible.

  • @sanchezsick1 most definitely. i come on youtube and watch dredg videos and the people that act all high any mighty about being dredg fans makes me sick. they're an amazing band, no doubt. but just because your a fan doesn't make you as awesome as them.

  • @sanchezsick1 i use to see them when they couldnt even fill up the Troubadour in LA

  • Awesome song by an awesome band. These guys should be huge. HUGE. Based on how amazingly talented they are. Very original and exciting music.

  • they cut the best part!!!! Oh well, still an awesome video.

  • love 'em

  • tight
