  • Indeed this fawn is very cute, but I still think it should have been left in the wildlife in the first place. MAYBE, just maybe if the doe had been killed and there was proof, that they might have taken it because of it's age, but , fawns can survive alone by instincts of course. And just the fact that it would have been exposed (in lack of a better word) to human nature, I think it will have a harder time being on itself. I mean it would be more trusting to everything. Including predators.

  • OMG that is the coolest thing Ive ever seen. I couldnt have let him go, no way. Cool Video. Thanks

  • whats the name of the songs?

  • You say people should be able to keep deer for pets. What would you do with a buck during rut season? Just curious?

  • We Reabilitated TWO fawns last year... both does. Both are on a 1200 farm now and free. One had been run over in a field of hay with broken hip/leg but lived and can jump as high as any deer now. Your house looks like our house did all last summer, only missing the extra fawn. LOL! What a great year it was... but a committment like no other. See a video taken over the year on YouTube labled "Because You Loved Me" by usmceod3006

  • its cute how it follows you

  • Taking the fawn to a rehabilitator was the right thing to do. Wildlife rehabilitators make sure the animals have the right diet, and they are careful to avoid habituation or imprinting. In order to be released into the wild, the animal must stay wild. Then he can survive. Habituated wildlife will not survive in the wild.

  • awe!

  • I'm surprised he can keep traction on a wood floor.

  • How could you be a hunter after rescuing the baby fawn? Did you kill the mother? Kinda ironic, isn't it?

  • what a cutie

  • And now it's illegal to rescue baby deer, to stop the spread of some disease.

Also, why didn't he even try to pick up the baby deer?!

  • what if he kills it later on??? wouldnt that be a trip. its like that book ole yeller. I personally hunt deer its prolly one of the best things ive ever done. i dont know how i could bring one into my house and spend time with a animal then go out and kill another one.

  • hey man

  • Very cool video bro! I've always heard stories about how deer can make great pets. It's really neat to see how he interacts with humans.

  • When I was really little, my Aunt and Uncle lived down the road from us, and this doe was giving birth in the middle of the road when a car hit her, and the fawn was laying there. My uncle went and saved it. They took care of it for a few days and then they gave it to the FIsh n Game. That thing was awesome!

  • Is that a kids book? What is it about besides a Yearling? lol

  • Kill that goat biatch.

and uh, did it go to the bathroom on the floor?

  • cool video. cute deer. i like your camo furniture.

  • Cool video man. What did you do with him later on, release him? And again for all tree huggers, you can respect animals and still hunt them for food/game American Indians respected wildlife and still hunted. The world is not black and white, grow up. Great vids buddy, keep it up.

  • Love this video...thanks for posting it. When I was little we rescued a fawn too. I know what you mean when you say you will never forget your sweet little friend even though you only spent a day getting to know each other. This was so lovely.

Also thank you so much for subscribing to my videos...I really appreciate the vote of confidence.

Keep up the great work...hope you do a follow up to this.

    Happy Holidays!

  • that is so precious:)

  • That was very kind of you to care for the orphaned fawn! Truly a great act of conservation on the part of a hunter! =)

It would be very ironic if you ended up shooting it some years away. lol

  • Adorable!!! :)

  • AWESOME VIDEO. You've got to be pretty confident to allow a baby fawn to costar with you. If you're not careful the fawn could upstage you. BTW - What's the music?

  • That is so cute, I want one!

  • I would take a deer over a dog/cat for a pet any day!

  • no not really, we have raise a few orphan deer, once they are adults they are just as capable as wild deer, most deer die of starvation, so this on has the good life

  • Whoa, that was sweet. Was that a near 24 hour lasp?

  • awesome, i want a baby deer now

  • Yeah, I was upset I was not able to keep it...

  • lol, i bet!

  • I have watched this video many times, and it is my favorite. I love baby deer, and want to have one as a pet too. I was heartbroken to see that the little deer is no longer with you, and I hope he is okay. Will you see him again? Thanks for such a nice video.

  • What a little sweet pea! I don't know how you were able to give him up and it's a same you had to!

  • my dad owned a baby deer

  • That's awsome...

  • That is the cutest thing ive seen in awhile... thanks!

  • I like that you ended it with the little buddy taking a little rest after all his activity. Nice music, too.

  • Thank You... I miss him!

  • Aww... I agree with you, you should be able to have deer as pets. Even though the males grow antlers when they get older, goats have horns, and people still keep those. And don't they have deer in petting zoos? It proves that if raised right, they can be gentle around the littlest child. There's been cases of deer attacks, but there's been cases of dog attacks too. We still keep those. You just have to be careful and know what you're getting into.

  • Thanks for agreeing... You couldn't be anymore right! I never thought of the dog attacks vs. deer attacks!!

That's a really good point. Also, all the deer attacks I have heard of or seen took place in the wild! Thanks for commenting!!!

  • awsome video! and dude you have a huge house too! keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for watching! I will try my best to keep a few videos coming every week...
