how do you do a neon lamp?? or a light bulb? ive tried many things but i can't get the mesh to shine

How did you get the water to stop running at the end? I want to but when I add an inflow, it just keeps coming and coming and coming and co....

I think you have to scale the object to 0.

As KeithBlender said, just use a fluidsim IPO curve.
Very good animation, this is something else than a fluid ball falling into a fluid cube :)

I used a IPO-curve on the Inflow-velocity to turn the water on/off smoothly.
