I have played this song and yea it is easy but only because im in a higher grade and my band as practiced it soo much yea I think i played this in my 6th grade year. btw there is no 4th grade band. Band dont start till 6th grade and I think they did really good! I loved how the low brass got there insterments up high. Im from kentucky NMMS band. I think that band did great but a trumpet player was over doing it a lil bit idk if he was suppose to and i think my band did that at a faster tempo

SDWdoug is correct. i'm a sixth grader and the tempo is on beat. i'm a french horn player and i could match my part to the other french horn players pefectly. SDWdoug your band did great!!

yes 12 french horns if I'm lucky 5 tubas 8 baritones NO oboe that starts in 5th along with Bass clarinet and tenor sax. middle school is same 2 before school and one 45 per week.

Good for you! Our 4th grade rehearses 1x a week and has lessons 1x a week. 6th grade rehearses 15 minutes during homeroom and has 1 lesson a week. What state are you in?

well, im in the middle school (oms) and there are piccolo auditions. last year we got 2 tenor saxs and 1 oboe, so yep! there are only 5 french horns in the 6th grade band :(

one 40 min class a week and two 45 before school rehearsals a week that don't start till February. they have only been playing 8 months not bad huh!!!

Yes they sound very good for 4th grade. The 4th grade where I teach don't start until January so by 5th grade they sound about like this. I think it is more challenging to teach students when they begin in 4th grade in September because they are so tiny and many have trouble holding their instruments and covering the holes on the clarinet. You also have a nice large stage! We have about 240 out of 300 4th graders who begin an instrument and can't fit them all on the stage!! :o)
