  • I keep coming back. 20+ years and they're still a "go to" band.

  • Don't forget, this is one of the best bands there is.

  • Savior of Misbehavior. Wish I'd thought of that one,

  • spock on the drums?

  • master!

  • He OWNED this song.... love the whigs

  • OOOOOH I love this song :)

  • oooo i love it

  • you're young and relatively beautiful :)

  • totalnie zajebisty kawałek

  • Dulli is The King of Covers.

  • Problem with watching them live is I end up admiring how fucking cool they are rather than just how amazing their music is ... to me this is way better than their studio recording of the song.

  • im sorry guys i cant describe how much i love this.. it's fucking awsome. cover or not it kicks ass!

    PS: comment!

  • the bands of today lack the emotions that bands like these put into their music

  • "everything"....

  • Dulli. He just makes everything he does look so effortless.

  • fucking SOULFUL like nothing is nowadays.

  • Nothing theyve ever done sucks! They dont make them like this anymore

  • Why are they called that?

  • @9b1alldaii

Good question...I was thinking the same thing myself.

  • AgelessDrifter is a sad, little boy.

  • delicious!

  • Now, if only they could have gotten the song title right.

  • That's 'cuz you're an idiot.

  • asgqweeqasdqw

  • a shame he's got a little big lately, cos he used to be sooooo sexy.

  • He still is.

  • A shame you don't see that there's just more to love now! More for the rest of us, too.

  • Dulli said he got the name from a Muslim motorcycle gang from Tallahassee. I don't know if he was being sarcastic, but he didn't sound sarcastic.

  • why does dulli remind me of a cross between john belushi, john lennon, and joaquin phoenix?? lol! he's sexy as anything!!!

  • you're absolutely right! he's a sexy motherfucker :)

  • it's time to shake those butts! you're young and relatively beautiful. Let's go!

  • there was mud honey and dinosuar jr and some others too with this sound but I was diggin this pretty too...couple songs got some good play on mtv2 back in the day..

  • This must be the same track off 'What Jail is Like' .. beautifully recorded. Incredible band.

  • the guitarist is smoking a joint ? lol

  • yea this is live at pinkpop..holland =p

  • wtf why are they calling them self afghan .

  • Why Afghan Whigs? Guess it's because people would keep asking taht question ;) Just to get attention perhaps... good question

  • I read sometime ago that they took their name from some government operation. Much like Op' Ivy and many others.

  • i believe the band got their name from the 18th century political, and also the origin of their favorite weed...

  • "It's time to shake those butts. Shake 'em! You're young and relatively beautiful; let's go!" :)

  • Thanks for posting this! What a concert this was...

  • Mesmerizing. A perfect cover.

  • Magnifique groupe. Magnifique voix. Ne me lasse toujours pas d'écouter Gentlemen et Congregation. Ils étaient vraiment parfaits. N"ont pas eu le succès qu'ils méritent.

  • This concert made me become a fan , back in 1994 !

  • my world is empty without such music...

  • my world is empty w/o such music everyday...

  • can someone tell me why the band name is afghan :) ?

  • Afghan Whigs, named after a Florida-based white Muslim biker gang from the Sixties who were into love, not war, finally got it together a year later, with Steve Earle on drums and John Curley playing bass.

  • OKay :)

    Merci :)

  • khahesh mikonam.

  • i'm mean, absolutely amazing!

  • I was at this Show in Holland , (PinkPOP) . Awesome

  • I saw these guys in Portland in 95. I'd never heard of em but my sis dragged me along, so glad I went. One of the best concerts I've ever been to! The WHIGS kicked my ass!

  • my god they are inspiring, a band like this gone in the grave, it's a shame..

  • This song is brilliant!

  • God I miss these guys. Saw them twice at Tipitinas in N.O. in the early 90s. They just ripped your f######g head off. Sigh.

  • fantastic!

  • Fancy smoking roll ups with all their money...

  • you think these guys ever got rich? I know they shoulda, but I doubt they woulda made the same records if they ever got to be big rock $tar$

  • love this band.Only got to see them once in toronto. great vid. thanks for posting this whigsbitch!

  • very very inspiring performance

  • out of sync?

  • Yeah for some reason Dulli keeps delaying the lines in the verse, still great though. They didn't play this the one and only time I got to see them in Birmingham. Great band - cheers whigsbitch

  • Are there any DVD's available or CD's that include videos?

  • The Twilight Singers had copies of a "Bootleg" from Kentucky and a "Live In Italy" DVD's at their merch booth a few years ago.I ended up with them off of ebay. Dulli/Twilight Singers kill it on both, my favorite being the Kentucky one. Highly recommended...

  • Thanks for the leads, I'll try to find them.

  • BTW- Twilight does "My Curse" w/Marcy Mays AND Curly playing bass on the Louisville DVD. The lighting of the show isn't so great, but the songs more than make up for it. Let me know how it goes for you...

  • You are witnessing one of the most underrated bands of the 90's. They don't make music like this anymore. I should know I have a bunch of their tapes.

  • how would someone go about tracking down an mp3 of this?

  • woh the fuck is this guy, he aint an Afghan

  • anyone have "DELTA KONG"?

thats a great rare whigs song.

  • Pinkpop 1994, I was 19 years old, hadn't slept all night because some stranger had confiscated by sleeping bag but this show was truly wonderful. Just amazing, never to be forgotten.

  • so many failed relationships and empty bottles, i always wondered if it was me inherantly or rather was it just me drawn to his beautiful nihilism. over 10 years later, i'm still alone, but happy. thank you greg dulli.

  • el arafat es un tonto

  • I love this band. This reminds me of Eric Burdon and the Animals.

  • Dulli is the coolest Mfer alive!

  • Did any catch what kind of cigarette Greg Dulli and Rick McCollum were passing to each other?

  • the good kind!!! ;-)

  • It's a joint. For sure.

  • Fucking Great! I ´m gonna see the Twilight Singers tommorrow in Vienna. They re not coming to my town, so I ´m following them. Last time I saw Greg with the Whigs was 1999...I waited long enough...

  • i saw them 6 times in the States this year! always great! Dulli does not let down!

  • Couldn't agree with you anymore. He is a true pimp and entertainer.

  • whigsbitch, you're my fucking hero. This stuff is great....MANY thanks for making this rainy day kick absolute ass.

  • Is Greg still doing stuff these days?

  • Twillight Singers, he just played Philly Monday night.

  • The last verse by this guy me makes me miss John Lennon more than ever. This is how John would have covered this song if Yoko had been killed instead of him. The screaming at end is vintage Lennon.

  • I posted it before and I'll say it again: they are supposedly reuniting this fall to make some new songs. Stay tuned...

  • God how much I loved the Whigs, thanks for posting!

  • Dewars and Xanax, greg dulli makes me feel not alone.

  • Awesome video! The Whigs rule(d)!

  • I had forgotten how much I loved these guys, thank for reminding me!

  • FUCKING BAD ASS.
