the only thing i can think of is go to your disc cleaner and clear your recycle bin, temp internet files, temp files and thumbnails. then go to your options and set your computer to high performance... oh and plug your computer in if its a laptop.

Movie Maker + Cam Studio is heavy on RAM. If you just used Fraps it might be good.

the slowdown is probably from movie maker. It actually eats up a ton of RAM and can crash pretty frequently.

Slowdown tips: Usually slowdown happens when your PC has too many programs running. Including those you use and NOT use. so if you go into your task manager and end the processes of the programs you don't use, your PC will go faster, and have less production slowing. i just started a let's play diddy kong racing of adventure 2 and i use FRAPS. project 64 says the fps on the bottom of the window and then i enter in fraps the fps and there is no slowdown. and the quality of the video is better. but i know ur already done with this im just writing this for future reference.

emulator software is just pretending to be a video game console so its NEVER gonna be as good as the real thing. I dont know how good your video card is . . . .or perhaps i should say was back then but that should help immensly.

also, you might want to try a different recorder...i've used SnagIt and it worked awesome for me while the trial version lasted (lawlz), although the one i'm using now, Hypercam, works a heck of a lot better to record my voice

hey man if you ever come visit this video again. on the Icicle Pyramid, you may want to use the Shield and simply go back and forth of the red balloon.

Also the majority of the enemies will be on the 2nd floor and usually theyll be heading to the nd floor so you should be able to use the 1st lvl missile to beat them. it was pretty easy

installing more ram will help all if your programs run smoother. you could get 2gb of ddr2 for 20-30 dollars and installing is easier than getting dressed. theres no real excuse not to run that much these days.

In case you haven't figured out yet, Camtasia has extreme lag problems recording both the screen and audio at the same time. Therefore you need to record the screen with Camtasia and the audio with a program like audacity. There's no slowdown whatsoever.

I use a program called Fraps to record my vids; you might want to try it. You'll need the full version though. Also, running in fullscreen ran smoother for me than in a window.

Even with the slowdown, these vids are really entertaining. I seem to be good with the key locations - for the ye olde dragon world, I remember that the method of getting the key came to me in a dream - not kidding.

I've just started a Let's Play myself, by the way - Banjo Kazooie on the GBA. I guess we're both part of the Let's Play Banjo family now!

Great vid again, the only thing i can think of (about the slowdown) is that the falling snow is having some effect on the framerate...the same way Cypheron seems to get it with waterfalls on Banjo Tooie. So hopefully for you, once this area is clear...you will be fine.

On the plus side, the editing was great. Had you not said anything then i wouldn't have really noticed anything.

actually....Snowball Valley has no snow falling. So that was a crap thought i had. All i can suggest is lowering the frames/sec from 60 to 30

(and i meant editing the first time. the second one was obvious) ;)
