Ur Sophie is the cutest Shih Tzu ive ever seen.. Im getting my baby girl today and I am soo excited! Her name is going to be Daisy. I want her hair to look just like Sophie's. How do you maintain her hair? How often for baths? etc?

She gets a bath once a week and I brush her every day..grooming her face and head 2 times per day. On her face, I love to use a comb with teeth that roll and follow that with a flea comb. On her body I use a pin brush and a slicker brush only to remove mats. I ♥ shih tzu talking, pls keep in touch
I LOVE the way you pulled her hair back in three seperate bands. She has beautiful hair. My Lulu is 4 and a half months and it will be some time before she will have enough hair to pull back. How did you teach her to bark to go out?
@MrsBfromIndy I'm sorry for the late reply....I'm so embarrassed. I have 4 email accounts with my server and for some strange reason my incoming has not been incoming for this account. My daughter helped me fix it and I had 665 emails come in at once. I think Sophie was born knowing how to talk. She is very vocal and when she wants something she always barks. I will send you an email explaining the way we trained her to ask to go out to potty.
Wow, what a great toy for Sophie! I like your outside potty area. That is a good idea - to tie her tail up so it does not get dirty ;) Love how she kicks her back feet. My first Shih Tzu never did that, but Lacey does it all of the time.
@lacey41908 Thanks for your kind compliments! Ruffles never kicked back either. Sophie did it even as a baby and we thought it was so cute. We still get so tickled at her when she does it..and she never fails. We love the potty place too..she doesn't get fleas/ticks and her feet stay dry.The rain washes it clean or we wash it down with the hose. I learned with Ruffles to do this because she would get grass clippings in her fur.They don't get that outdoors smell either & you don't need flea meds

@ForPonies Glad to know this....It saves a lot of clean up. When Sophie was a puppy, we forgot to take it off her tail and she swallowed it. Luckily, she passed in after about 48 hrs.
