The show was originally funded by a group of Spanish banks as an initiative to raise awareness of the rehabilitation projects they had been doing in Barcelona. Phil Roman - former producer of the Simpsons took on the project shortly after selling his company. The show only ran for 1 season.
The kids are supposed to be chimney sweeps that live in an imaginary village comprised of all of Gaudi's works. All of the main characters of the show reside and have character similarity to one particular building such as Catcha the wanna-be with who lives in the unfinished cathedral.
I used to watch this, but didn't manage to follow the story properly 'cause I couldn't watch every episode. I wish I could watch all of it someday or at least find out more about it..
I like the craziness too, but i only remember them being chased by things that aren't supposed to be alive, and also a lot of random stuff..It just confuses me xD
I only saw maybe two or three complete episodes. But yeah, that's surreal genre for you.
Their site closed down an indeterminate number of years ago, but I remember seeing somewhere they had 21 episodes.
I think nowadays it only broadcasts possibly on Spanish PBS. I'm still unclear as to where it was made or who made it. It is possible it originated in Spain and was dubbed into English from a producer guy responsible for Happy Tree Friends, but it never broadcasted outside Europe or Asia.

I wanted to say this a long time ago:
Why doesn't this show have a Wikipedia article?
And why is this the only episode that ever can be found anywhere?
Is it that underrated?
Maybe it should be revived, I dunno.

There is no story. It's surreal genre, it's all craziness, which I like ^^
The "idea" is basically a bunch of kids that live with no authority whatsoever. So it's like a haven.
I think it's supposed to celebrate Antonio Gaudi's 100th birthday or soemthing. I'm too busy to do more research on that matter.
The sad thing is that nobody knows about it. If it doesn't have a Wikipedia article, you KNOW that's an indication of unknownness.

@Celtwood
I just noticed the uploader is from Hong Kong, which was one of the very few places this aired.
At least there's ONE shred of Howdi Gaudi media here.

Oh yeah, me too :D
They have the most random shows.
It makes you wonder how agogo got a hold of this clip @_@
I think maybe there's some tv. com that makes it possible to watch any show...

Howdi Gaudi has DVD's??
PhilosophicalPsycho 7 months ago
@PhilosophicalPsycho Apparently so; i just typed it in to see if they existed

@Celtwood
I just tried that with very unclear results.
Amazon gave me no results at all.
At least this video has the song... This was a memorable theme song.
PhilosophicalPsycho 7 months ago
@PhilosophicalPsycho You'll have to look on other sites..I don't think they have the DVDs on Amazon or eBay.
True, it's pretty easy to remember

@Celtwood
Howdi Gaudi even took down their own site. What else can represent it? It doesn't even have its own Wikipedia page.
PhilosophicalPsycho 7 months ago
@PhilosophicalPsycho Nothing's representing it. It's just some store that's selling the DVDs

Illegally?

@Celtwood
Not that I think Phil Roman has any copyrights on it anyway, but oh well...
PhilosophicalPsycho 7 months ago
@PhilosophicalPsycho I don't think they're illegal. The look like official packaging

@Celtwood
I feel doubtful this show would have enough finances to produce their own DVDs.

How is your Channel somehow "not available?"
Ghost channel?? @_@
PhilosophicalPsycho 7 months ago
@PhilosophicalPsycho I probably set it to private or something lol
