Remember being 8 years old, and managing to work my way finally to this level after about 2 weeks of nightmares and sneaking to stay up but still wanting more. I was so used to all of the monsters I knew how to kill them off decently, and then that 11 PM shock I got when I raised up on that floor at the end of the long hall being chased by Pinkies...the hair standing up on my neck, heard the dual roars of the Barons of Hells, and woke my parents up.

Fuck me, what an epic tune! If id have any soul left they'd use this music as the opening titles to Doom 4 to get players psyched. Though looking at Rage, Doom 4 will probably be a third-person Gears Of War clone that runs perfectly on XBox 360 but lags like fuck on a ninja PC. Actually it'll probably be an XBox 360-only Kinnect game - wave arm to punch Imp, nod head to head-butt Lost Soul, push out ass to sass Cyber Demon etc ...

I activate the switch at the end, and I am greeted with a group of Spectres and two doors in amidst a large room. I finish off the Spectres and I slowly ascend the stairway. I hear the howl of the Barons of Hell...

Everytime I hear this song I imagine myself in front of a switch. I turn on that switch and find a room full of Pinky Demons surrounded by barrels. I shoot all those barrels killing a good portion of them. After they're dead, I head straight to an elevator that takes me to a place with a computer map, a bunch of stimpacks and a box of ammo. I descend the elevator go right and open a hidden doorway in the hallway, revealing a soulsphere. I open the door and kill 2 Pinky Demons, one on my left...

Not shitting you, Id Software already mentioned this and has given multiple hints of it.

They said Doom 4 will see the light of day when it's the last one. They were referring the the end of the world theory, I.E 2012.

@KillWithHeadshots Playing WADs is easy. Basically download the file, extract to your zdoom folder, edit properties on your zdoom icon (which should be on your desktop), add -file "name" and then you play on the appropriate engine.

Ok so it's a little more confusing than I remember.

@ManicRevelation i recommend pr-boom-plus, is the best port for doom so far. easy to use and easy to launch. zdoom is not bad but quite confusing. also as you keep on playing different wads, pr-boom will list them for you to choose when you launch the application.

also unless you're really experienced and good at the game. dont try alien vendetta just yet lol.

@Anaki2gud Thanks for the reccommendation. I've been thinking about Skulltag, and I'll check out pr-boom. I'm starting to get tired of the same old doom. Alot of the modern mods for the game can't be run on zdoom.

I can't remember the map exactly but it was 28 -30 that I've gotten to. I know I'm capable of beating it without saves but I'm also tired of massive mob maps (5000+ monsters) so I just stopped onced I beat a couple of those. Had enough of that in Scy
