One of my greatest guilty pleasures of the 70's.

Saw them live at a county fair in Riverhead, NY in '78 supporting Ancient Medicine. They were incredible, have been obsessed since. For those interested, there is a GREAT live recording they did on a long defunct but universally beloved local NY radio station (WLIR) floating around on the net. Look for it - it's Baby Grand Gold! Thanks for posting!! Really!!!

Great songwriting is an unusual beat and lyrics but most of all a melody that sticks in your head. Baby Grand was vastly underrated and I love their cover of "Walk Away Rene".

Found it on vinil today at a yard sale.. payed 1 euro for it.. still sealed :)

Ancient Medicine was a great album, too. I'd like to get it on a CD, if only is was possible.

Actually, it is possible. There is a German reissue of the first Baby Grand album and Ancient Medicine in a double CD set called "Two Originals."

This was published by "Second Harvest" a division of Powers & Peak & Co., 181 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716 in 2007.

I found a few online sellers of this release. Also, you can find it on one of the German or UK eBay sites.

Search for "Baby Grand" and/or "Ancient Medicine" and the word "digipak" or "digipack" in Google.
