it is best to learn in arbic although its not a must .salam muslim sisters and brothers

as far as i know... it is a MUST to learn it in Arabic as hard as you can. The quran is only complete in Arabic. The translation is only an UNDERSTANDING, and NOT the quran. Islam teaches you to lean Arabic as hard as you can, and even if you cant just keep trying, you will get rewards, not sins, even for mistakes, becz you are trying.

Just like to add an addition to your post. New Muslims, or Muslims, who don't know Arabic language, small reading per day goes a long way, and on top of that Allah will reward you double for you trying to read in Quran, even if you are making mistakes.
