Glad to have you on board as a beta tester, however right now, Im trying to debug some things with the Hakurei Shrine map, I got a tileset for it, but for some reason, the upper layer editing mode is treating its stuff as nondense objects, meaning you can walk on it, so Im setting up Hero Walk On Start events to display a message and block the player temporarily from walking over the cherry trees and gate sides...

Im planning to try and get the entire Touhou cast.

As for the main characters, I havent really decided on name for them, but I have the boy sprite designed, RPG Maker 2003 just isnt cooperating with me on it right now. Something about invalid color depth...

I dunno, Im still working on it, and RPG Maker 2003 is still treating the upper layer editing mode like the lower layer editing mode, I did a test play, and lets just say Reimu was walking on cherry blossom trees...

Yes, everyone will have their original weapons. The Touhou cast, not the characters I made, will work like the original cast from Tales of Symphonia when you get them in Knights of Ratatosk in almost all aspects, except they can level up and learn skills.

The male main character uses a sword, and the female... Im still working on it.
