as we are realy new to geocaching i realy see both sides of your argument and i hold my hands up to watching some of your vids here mainly to give me some pointers as to what to look out for and i thank you for that .

the videos that i watched didnt in any way show me where to find a cache just how cleverly some are hidden.

personaly i am glad you were given your membership back but i realy can see how some people dont agree with your vids.

They should realise that the title of your channel is "Geocachespoilers" What the hell do they think your video's MIGHT be about? Read words. Put two and two together. Plus, like you said in your other video, you arent giving out the GC code or their location or any of that.

This is wonderful news! I've been watching the videos and never considered them spoilers. Its not like I could just run out and find one of the caches anyway. The videos have given me great ideas and inspiration and personally, if I were the cache owner I would consider the recognition an honor. Also, now my faith is restored in this popular site. I was concerned that they had gotten too big for their britches... Its all good now!

7. I suppose that I personally would like it, if at the beginning of the video, you could mention the country, or the U.S. state being shown in the video, so I'd know whether or not I personally want to skip the video.

6. It seems like underneath all of the "politics" or "rules" here should be some "common sense / courtesy." If I give you permission to upload one of my caches, and you maybe put a little disclaimer on saying "Californian viewers might want to skip this to avoid possible spoilers," I can't see how anyone could get mad.

5. I'm guessing you didn't ask permission from the cache owners themselves to upload the videos of their caches? Personally, I wouldn't care much if someone uploaded semi-anonymized video clips of our caches, but I can see where other people would mind.

4. I'm not entirely sure you can fall back on how you don't give specifics away since you don't mention the GC code or show coordinates. I can see that you work hard not to give anything away (which is ironic, given your username), but someone who watched a bunch of your videos could still arrive at a bridge one day and say, "Oh, I've seen this one on YouTube."

A few thoughts

I typed these into Notepad before I saw that they were as long as five full YouTube-length comments.

1. How'd the Geocaching site figure out it was "you" in the first place?

2. It sort of seemed like you were asking for trouble by using the name "Geocache Spoilers" instead of "Awesome Geocaches."

3. Not that there's any good way to enforce this, but it kind of feels like U.S. cachers might want to see videos of European caches and vice versa.

Have they done a 180? Decangi posted on the emcache.com forum

Which infers Sven has agreed to remove any video without argument. If requested to do so by the Owner of the Cache, If that is the case then Groundspeak have not done a 180. If this is not the case perhaps Sven will post here and on emcache to clarify what if any conditions were agreed to for his ban to be lifted.
