Weirdly, my grandmother was ALL ABOUT BIRDS (well she had a degree in Zoology but preferred birds). I grew up, like you, not sure why I was the one who could point to random birds and say their name and others couldn't. Also, I am going over to pick up books at Timm's work right now so thanks for the ideas. :)
