  • Well Done!! The "Universal" name stood by itself in the closing credit from 1996.

  • The 1991-1995 logos were better

  • That's because of the acquistion of Seagram!

  • @IICaRLoII

    what's Seagram?

  • @1986Sheri Seagram as in Seagram's Gin...... yes, THAT Seagram's Gin..... Nowadays GE owns 80% of Universal and NBC. Vivendi owns the rest. There is no more Seagram. Seagram's Gin is now a brand of Pernod Ricard (if it still exists).

  • @fatdaddyb28

    what's Vivendi?

  • @1986Sheri The company used to be some water utility company in France. They bought Seagram and Canal + in 2000 but ended up having to sell the drink brands to Pernod Ricard and 80% of the Universal studio in 2004 to GE, thus creating NBC Universal (GE combined the NBC network they owned with Universal). Vivendi owns Universal Music Group from the Universal purchase (Def Jam, Interscope, Motown, Decca, etc.).

  • @1986Sheri Somewhere along the way Vivendi kinda spun off their water operations into a separate company called Veolia. Vivendi also owns 52% of Activision Blizzard (Blizzard Entertainment was owned by Vivendi, and we all know what Activision is). So Vivendi is basically a holding company based in Paris.

  • @fatdaddyb28 And now Comcast owns it.

  • @NinJutsuDude1997 Kinda like half of it; GE still owns the other half, for now, last I heard.

  • This is from Hercules, and Xena action pack show, after MCA TV logo in 1994 and 95,5 stars for this logo.
