wow nice i went this past 4th of july we actually hit a bear...and a coyote..and saw a deer nd mountain lion it was a cool trip....and our car broke down up there we spent a whole week up there and survived off of leftover food.
we just got back from that area it being Oct and only spotted some bear dung with berries in it near a river bank , no sight of bears.....all though saw alot of Elk up above Trinidad......Must be neat seeing all the bears in spring....do you think they're hibernating now?
it was may of this year. i have been going to sequoia twice a year for the last 30 years. springtime is always best for bear sightings in the giant forest. one year my best total sightings was 13 bears in one day.
