A VAT tax is a terrible idea for the American consumer/taxpayer. Businesses and firms would only pass the VAT tax down to the consumer through higher prices. Disgusting that FOX gives this man so much "credit" and time to talk about economic policy. All he has to boast about is a high school diploma and a big mouth. His "doomsday" reporting makes me feel embarrassed for calling myself a fiscal conservative. His opinion on economic policy is about as useless as a major in sociology.

The two years that we had the lowest tax rates on the upper 1% were immediately followed by crashes and recessions (1929 23.9% and 2007 23.5%).
