Maybe the reason for the birds getting disoriented is probably due to the "magnetic pole" shift that has happened recently? (search in youtube magnetic pole shift January 2011) nothing to be alarmed about...magnetic pole is not the true pole, probably only need to worry if the actual poles shift.
