I can it is too fast. Sounds like kraid on crack. It's supposed to be slow and mysterious, which is why it's still one of the scarier themes in Metroid. However, other than tempo, it was awesome. Can hardly believe it's and improvisation.

This is gonna be interesting..you think as you continue to watch the game, and attept to dodge tons of thorn like objects being thrown in your face. Agreed. It does sort of lose its 'mysticism' when played too fast. Otherwise, great playing, but keep in mind the musical interpretation. Hirokazu Tanaka proved himself to be a master of creating chilling atmospheres in the Metroid games, even when immensely limited by crude music sequencing. Bring that to light more in your playing and it will be absolutely amazing. Criticisms aside, 5 stars. :)

At around 0:58 and 1:58 seconds the light shifts to several different positions (about the time you added in improvs so you can see why i'm suspicious) and you just said there was no wind, so that makes me think you stopped the video and came back at a different time or someting. Very well played but this song loses its dark mysterious brooding edge when played so fast. As you have the skill to play it perfectly it'd really help to slow it down. BTW I realise it's quite fast on the NES but on piano it's more effective when played slower. Check out Super Smash Bros. Melee's arrangement as I think that has the perfect pace.
