My first contact of PRIUS was in the game GRAN TURISMO 2 it has only one gear. You can not tune it only change the rims . the slogan . THE econimc style to drive a race. It is quite. Sorry I am a german
@keytek9 My Prius gets about 52 mpg if I stay off the highway. A coworker of mine said his newer model gets him 62 mpg when he tried hard to not waste momentum. But regular driver usually get about 45 mpg at highway speed. Some die hard fans did an experiment to drive it in ideal conditions and they got 110 mpg. It proves a point. The car has good potential, it is the driving habits that decide the mileage.
He's right, I drove the car for a test drive and it made me feel like I was in blade runner, the thing is smooth, quiet, I think the gear system is designed diffiernt or my old car was just THAT old!
@2HornDogs I'm glad you like the Prius. The electric motor gives you that boost that no other cars can. I drove my 2004 for 6 years now. Except for the touch screen replacement under warranty (a known 2004 defect), the car ran perfectly all these years and save me a lot of gas too. I also have a BMW 740iL, it is just trouble and despite its V8 engine, the BMW reacts like a half second behind. Unlike the BMW, the Prius takes off with immediate response.
@2HornDogs The Prius uses a planetary gear to combine engine and motor power to drive the shaft. 0 to 110 mph uses the same gear. In fact, reverse is also the same gear with the motor spinning backward. Same gear for any speed, it never needs to shift gear. That explains why acceleration is totally smooth. It behaves like a CVT (continuous variable transmission) but it is not the same design. 0-60 is like 11 sec. But I bet 0-30 time would beat many sport cars.
@summened 110 mph top speed is good enough for most family cars. Its electric motor gives 258 lb./ft. torque at 0-400 rpm. The car is very responsive especially when starting from a complete stop. Test drive it and see it for yourself.
Wind-up Prius? They discovered a shrink ray! Fujimi is now making a kit in 1/24, and is probably available about now (June, 2010.) I'm planning on buying one and using it as a dinghy behind a Monogram '59 Cadillac.:) That's a lot nicer than what a lot of my friends have planned for them....
I wonder what a full size pull back car would be like.. you shunt it in reverse with a pickup truck or any larger vehicle, then you put the car hand brake back on, drive the pickup truck out of the way, release the car hand brake and go!!
@mjndblain The nature decides the aerodynamic shape. Many cars look like the Prius including the the new Honda Insight. Even the Porsche 911 has the similar shape.
@mjndblain It is compromise to keep the tear drop shape yet provide interior room. Ignore the shape for a moment, go to the dealership and sit inside a Porsche 911 and then a Prius. Then repeat the same with a family of 5. It is amazing that some car magazines classify Prius as a small car for its exterior, yet some other magazine classify it as a mid size car for its interior. It is a beauty for nature lovers.
i agree we should find more way to run off electricity but priuses are so damn ugly and i can only imagine they'd be pretty slow. there is no replacement for displacement i will always love my 6.0+liter gas guzzling v8s i guess. i did however keep hoping to see the big one smash into a small one, NOW thats something useful for priuses lol
You are quite wrong about electric cars. Search for T-zero on Youtube and watch some video on how electric car beat every muscle cars on the market. Corvette, Lambo, Ferrari, Viper, porsche, all losers to T-zero. Note the date of the videos too. Also electric car gets full torque at 0 rpm unlike any internal combustion engine. Most electric cars are designed to save energy, hence underpowered by design. Gasoline cars can be underpowered too if the design goal is to save gas.
yeah but youre going off stock hp numbers, there has never been and wil never be a 3000 hp electric car. i know prius isnt designed to look good, infact thats quite obvious, but another thing is the only hybrids yo mention that have any speed are imports, i cant bring myself to purchase and import when my own countries automakers are struggling. besides that i dont care about ferraris and lamburghinis or porche because once again they are all foreign and i build my own muscle anyway
What I tried to point out is that internal combustion engine is NOT the right solution for power equipments including automobiles. Do you know that even the diesel locomotives that pull 500 cars train are electric hybrid? The wheels are driven by powerful electric motor and the diesel only drives the generator. My point is that electric motors have the torque and power that gas engines lack. Hybrid cars are the future. Mark my word, only hybrid cars can save Detroit.
i can take your brand new priuses and if i drive 80 miles an hour between stop lights and never change the oil and do burnouts it wont last any longer then any domestic brand under the same presure. if gas engines arent suitable options why do ALL your precious hybrids still rely on them? hmmmm seems to me like if the internal cumbustion engine was that outdated all these asian car companies wouldnt have anything to do with them as far advanced as youre supposed to be
If you are good at your mechanical engineering, you should know the weakness of electric cars is their power reserve which lead to short range. Recharging takes too long. Until there is a breakthru in battery technologies, hybrid is the only way to take advantage of the quick refueling. Once the power supply limitation is resolved, ICE cannot beat electric motor's performance in power, torque and efficiency.
yeah i wanted to hear you say it because thats exactly my point, IF IT WAS THAT IMPORTANT someone would have figured out how to solve that problem by now, hybrids are nothing new they have been fooling with them for atleast two decades and still no one has figured out how to make a longer lasting battery? doesnt make much sense to me either. i want you to find me one single instance where a hybrid electric car can run a quarter mile in the high 4's. its impossible no one will ever have a 3k hp 1
I admit I am a hybrid fan, But I can tell you I DON'T believe in electric cars because of the battery limitation I mentioned. Until someone come up with a nuclear powered on-board electric generator, electric cars are weighed down by the batteries, hence a bad solution. Hybrid on the other hand is a compromise that works best until a break through is found. BTW, I don't believe in plug-in hybrid unless the additional batteries are lighter, and cheaper than what current technology allowed.
If you are a hybrid fan, you must understand its consequences. I study hybrid cars here at UC Davis and they are a detriment to the environment. nickel foam batteries with a cycle of 80-100,000 miles is not capable enough. They are mined in Canada, shipped to europe, then china, then japan, and back to the united states. The area around the nickel mine is so contaminated that NASA used it to test its rovers. A lot better to drive a carolla and get 30 mpg without the batteries and special part.
@llamaslyr The damage to the environment was done years ago when industries had no concept of environmental protection. I live in the middle of Silicon Valley surrounded by multiple "Superfund sites" left behind by the semiconductor industry. Do you boycott computers because the foundries were polluters? No, you just move the factory to Asia and forget what was done. Don't set double standard. Batteries are just intermediate solution until something better comes along.
For your information, the superfund sites are continuously cleaned with the help of major electronic companies that helped create the problem. They are taking responsibility. Companies like sony, hp, and cisco have donated tremendous money to conduct clean up.
So when is Toyota or Honda going to begin to search for a way to recycle or safely dispose of the batteries? When are they going to take responsibility of the millions of acres of land they have destroyed?
@llamaslyr Do you have any proof that Toyota and Honda is not going to recycle the batteries? There is a secondary "reuse" market for these batteries. Like when someone wreck their Prius, the batteries are savaged because they worth a few hundred dollars. BTW, Toyota's warranty covers the batteries for 10 years or 150K miles because they are designed to last as long as the car. Not many Priuss are ready to be recycled yet. BTW, do you also bash laptop computers the same? Same battery problem.
I'm not sure you understand the different battery types. Please research the difference between the laptop battery (Li Ion) and the battery in the prius (nickel foam battery) and the battery in ordinary products like the scooters(sealed lead acidic) .
And your fact regarding the prius is wrong. The prius was released in 1997, with its current prius in the 3rd generation. So yes, there is a significant amount of batteries that are being buried from the prius. Laptop batteries, lithium ipon....
Don't tell me laptops do not use NiMH batteries. Many older laptops in many home have not switched over yet. May be you are just too young to know when Li ion started to be viable. You probably didn't remember those exploding SONY and MacBooks. Tesla uses 6000+ Li ion batteries to power the car, which carries an unrealistic sticker price. Wait till the battery pack burst into flame and your view may change. I don't believe battery is the ultimate solution. Perhaps hydrogen fuel cells are.
Hydrogen fuel cells? What a joke. You must believe the oil companies, so heavily invested in hydrogen because it's still not even a mature program, and when it does phase in, the oil companies will still have the control.
Second, you fail to respond to any of my arguments. Bringing up the fact that "technology takes time to evolve" and brining up exploding nicad batteries supports my point:
the prius is not an environmentally friendly car. Period. You even argued it yourself.
(continued) are recyclable. That's because companies like apple take responsibility. If you bring an old laptop, they recycle the parts responsibly. Apple for an example has taken chemicals like PVC, mercury, and arsenic out of their products. Further, their products are made with aluminum and glass, highly recyclable parts.
I, however, do not see toyota or honda taking the same initiative. They continue to mass produce Foam nickel batteries. Many hybrids are used for job commutes, averaging...
You probably are not aware of those NiCd batteries used by laptops and cell phones when you were still in kindergarten. Guess where all the Cadmium gone to? They are recycled into children jewelry. Technology takes time to evolve. When there is a safer non-explosive alternative, the Ni batteries will be phased out.
cont:30 miles. This means that many prius will have high highway miles on their milages.
Further, mining operations involving nickel are completely different than diamonds. The nickel mining process involves strip mining, they produce 30-40,000 tons of nickel per day and amount to about half of Canada's CO2 output. Sulfur deposits also cause Canadian lake acidification. Liming and ph neutralization are necessary.
Just because "nothing is perfect" does not mean that we cannot strive for better.
And a second correction: Toyota and Honda continue to destroy the environment. The mining operations are still going on in Canada. Research the amount of sulfur and carbon dioxide emitted by Canada due to mining operations for the hybrid vehicle.
And FYI, "something better" will not come along anytime soon. Batteries are limited in so many ways. SLA batteries have been around for nearly 200 years. We virtually use the same battery for scooters, etc today.
@llamaslyr How many percent of the mined metal goes to cell phone and laptop batteries vs. into the hybrid cars? As least hybrid cars save some gas. Have you compared the sulfur and carbon dioxide emitted by diamond mining vs nickel mining? That piece of stone on someone's finger will not carry me 50 miles on a gallon of gas. When these numbers are quoted out of context, you can always make something look bad? Do you still remember Bush's corns for fuel fiasco? Nothing is perfect.
Prius' shape was determined by nature when the design goal was to minimize energy yet maximize interior room. Tear drop streamline shape is beautiful to nature lovers. So it is a matter of taste and your priority. Check out the Tesla electric sport car, the design gives up interior room and it can simply use the body of a Lotus. And it can out run a Lotus with no problem either. Google "Toyota Volta" and see how a super hybrid sports car can look like when saving gas is not the design goal.
not to mention when i hit the throttle i want to atleast hear something to be able to know its alive. im glad guys like you can bring yourself to drive something so ugly, because for every prius you put on the road there are probably tn more guys like me with massive bodied huge displaced motors killing more ozone then youre helping. also youre asian so youre biased to foreign four cylinders the same as my american ass is partial to massive high horsepower domestics.
what im saying is there are good and bad in any vehicle on the road, and i understand the reason you drive what you drive, but when you put it in retrospect how much are you really helping the environment with one prius when i have 9 cars 7 of which run and drive fine and all of them are 6.0 liter or above? my 08 3/4 silverado uses more emission in one day then youre prius will use in a month and its got atleast another solid 25 years on the clock so you do the math man
The greatness of this country is that everyone has their rights to do anything including irresponsible acts provided they are not illegal. So the only way to change that is to pass laws to ban these pollutions. BTW, everyone who read newspaper knows why Detroit got in trouble. It was not due to the imports. It was because they had been building the wrong cars that only a few people like you would buy. And they are way behind their competitions. They need a miracle to make a comeback.
fuck that the reason they got in trouble is because banks were handing out loans to any moron that would come threw the door THATS why they got in trouble and as far as hybrid electric trains of course i know this as a mechanical engineer there isnt much about the automotive industry that an asian hippy will be able to inform me on. its people like you that give american cars a bad name because the simple point is it comes down to maintence as far as durability.
Try to listen to yourself. What is the population of Asians in the US? Do you really believe Asian's purchasing decision would make a dent in Detroit's sales? Detroit is in trouble because non-Asian Americans also stop buying American cars. Don't blame the buyers when American automakers are led by a bunch of idiots with no vision of the future. The Sub-prime loan crisis kills the economy in general including import car sales too. When the economy picks up, Detroit will be still decades behind.
youre pulling statements from your ass at this point. how many even 1000+ hp hybrids are there out there? none. im not saying that the asians in this country are the reason detroit is going under maybe you should read closer. you never answered my question either why does gm produce the most models in hybrid AND since detroit is so far behind why is it then that GMC just introduced the FIRST hybrid pick up truck? where is your toyota or nissan hybrid? does nissan even make hybrids lol.
and when i said where is your toyota or nissan hybrid i meant to add truck in there. i dont see any tundras or titans that are hybrid, and why is it also that the tundra is one of the worse gas mileage 1/2 tons trucks on the market? also why is it that in non hybrid form gm gets just as good if not better gas mileage then any of your non hybrid toyotas? the reason americans have started buying less domestic cars is because certain morons have pumped it into there head that imports are better
and america as a society is too stupid to think for themselves. also the only time that imports MIGHT have been a better quality car was the 80's but if you look at stats ALL the cars of the 80's were shit boxes. dont get me wrong i currently own an 88, 86, and 84 toyota truck all of which are 4x4 and all of which are very dependable, but its not the truck itself its the quality of the previous owners
The Silverado hybrid is a joke. It is Chevy's scam to get a checklist item on their brochures. Adding that embarrassing 2mpg to the mpg simply proves that the hybrid design is serious flawed. I don't own one, but I read some reviews said that they just put in a bigger starter motor to help the spin up and shut down of the engine at stop lights. They save just by stopping at the lights. If you want the truck to move any distance, the hybrid mechanism becomes useless. Consumers will not be fooled.
my 3/4 ton chevy with a 400 c.i. motor gets 16 miles to the gallon and a 1/2 tundra with a 350 ci motor gets the same if not less, why does a smaller lighter truck get the same or less then my larger heavier truck? there are alot of holes in your theory man, and i think part of the problem is the only cars you REALLY know about are hybrid ones. do youre homework on internal compustion and then come talk to me, this isnt stuff i read from a book its a lifelong passion
The Tundra gets bad milage because it is heavy. The engine is not necessarily worse. Toyota fortified it like a tank. Perhaps it is an overkill for people who drive a 1/2 ton truck to an office job everyday with zero payload. However, for those who haul 1/2 ton of cargo in every trip, the extra strength guarantees it would hold up for years to come. It is a trade off in the construction, not an indicator of the capability of the ICE.
well the half ton domestics haul just as much and still get better mileage, and most people i see driving tundras are doing that, driving to the office.
one more thing the only things from gm that arent offered in hybrid are the corvette, camaro, and if im not mistaken i dont think you can get a hybrid aveo but then again they get as good of mileage as some hybrids lol. shit man gm even has hybrid suvs where are all the sequia and 4 runner hybrids man?????? too bad detroit is so far behind that we have more efficient vehicles to choose from then anyone lol
As I mentioned before, GM's hybrid design is just a brute force attempt to add the buzz word into their repertoire for a better image. They are not serious contenders, because anyone who read reviews will know that their hybrids do not live up to their promise. The Volt, on the other hand, may have a potential because it is a serious design from scratch. GM started so late in the game, you just need to keep your finger crossed that the company does not bankrupt before the car is ready.
you should stick to playing toy cars with your son and leave the real autos up to the ones that are actually knowledgable about ALL cars not just the ones we like
i gotta say this too so you dont think im prejudice to import cars or import people, go to my page the very first video is a 22re with a hole in the block so large that you can atually see the piston and it continues to run. reason being i am a HUGE fan of the 22re and its amazing durability, id MUCH rather have that then the ford 2.3 or the gm 2.8 because they are junk.
also look up top gear 'how to kill a toyota' they put that little truck threw hell and back from hitting it with a wrecking ball to submerging it in water to catching it on fire and by the end the frame is litterally broken in half and it STILL runs, so my point is i understand there are good and bad in EVERY car out there
We are on the same page here. Reliability sells. My friend's Jaguar spends more time in the shop than on the road. My BMW started to fall apart after just 5 years. BMW uses plastic radiator that simply crumble and drop its bottom to the ground. I am speaking from first hand experience. Almost all the plastic parts breaks like saltine crackers. The car just does not hold up even though the engine still runs. My point is that not all import are good.
A friend of mine bought a 2010 recently and he said if he drove it correctly, he was able to achieve 70/70 which means getting 70 mpg at 70 mph. The older model Prius can only do around 45 mpg at highway speed above 65 mph. I took a long trip from SF to LA in a 2004 at mostly above 75mph (occasionally exceeded 85mph) the milage dropped to 42 mpg.
Do you know how to calculate the "scaled" speed? The real Prius' max speed is 106 mph according to Toyota. The fastest I tried was 90mph. The ride was rough.
Not for long. :-( Among my friends' kids, most forget how to speak their parents' native tongue by age 12 or so. You can't blame them, they are Americans, legally and culturally.
At Albersens (I am 11 so can not spell)They had a bunch of little wind up cars that have their doors open I seen the pirus there But I got a GTO blue so check Albersens or go on ebay ebay has a bunch and I know you have a computer because you went to youtube if not go to a libery or something HOPE THAT HELPS!
Up to this day I've seen tons of Kinsmart for sale! But where on earth is a Prius?? It looks great!

llamaslyr 2 years ago
Don't tell me laptops do not use NiMH batteries. Many older laptops in many home have not switched over yet. May be you are just too young to know when Li ion started to be viable. You probably didn't remember those exploding SONY and MacBooks. Tesla uses 6000+ Li ion batteries to power the car, which carries an unrealistic sticker price. Wait till the battery pack burst into flame and your view may change. I don't believe battery is the ultimate solution. Perhaps hydrogen fuel cells are.
cplai 2 years ago
Hydrogen fuel cells? What a joke. You must believe the oil companies, so heavily invested in hydrogen because it's still not even a mature program, and when it does phase in, the oil companies will still have the control.
Second, you fail to respond to any of my arguments. Bringing up the fact that "technology takes time to evolve" and brining up exploding nicad batteries supports my point:
the prius is not an environmentally friendly car. Period. You even argued it yourself.
llamaslyr 2 years ago
(continued) are recyclable. That's because companies like apple take responsibility. If you bring an old laptop, they recycle the parts responsibly. Apple for an example has taken chemicals like PVC, mercury, and arsenic out of their products. Further, their products are made with aluminum and glass, highly recyclable parts.
I, however, do not see toyota or honda taking the same initiative. They continue to mass produce Foam nickel batteries. Many hybrids are used for job commutes, averaging...
llamaslyr 2 years ago

Just because "nothing is perfect" does not mean that we cannot strive for better.
llamaslyr 2 years ago
And a second correction: Toyota and Honda continue to destroy the environment. The mining operations are still going on in Canada. Research the amount of sulfur and carbon dioxide emitted by Canada due to mining operations for the hybrid vehicle.
And FYI, "something better" will not come along anytime soon. Batteries are limited in so many ways. SLA batteries have been around for nearly 200 years. We virtually use the same battery for scooters, etc today.
llamaslyr 2 years ago
@llamaslyr How many percent of the mined metal goes to cell phone and laptop batteries vs. into the hybrid cars? As least hybrid cars save some gas. Have you compared the sulfur and carbon dioxide emitted by diamond mining vs nickel mining? That piece of stone on someone's finger will not carry me 50 miles on a gallon of gas. When these numbers are quoted out of context, you can always make something look bad? Do you still remember Bush's corns for fuel fiasco? Nothing is perfect.

also i gotta as man why is chevy the leading hybrid producer?
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
Prius' shape was determined by nature when the design goal was to minimize energy yet maximize interior room. Tear drop streamline shape is beautiful to nature lovers. So it is a matter of taste and your priority. Check out the Tesla electric sport car, the design gives up interior room and it can simply use the body of a Lotus. And it can out run a Lotus with no problem either. Google "Toyota Volta" and see how a super hybrid sports car can look like when saving gas is not the design goal.

not to mention when i hit the throttle i want to atleast hear something to be able to know its alive. im glad guys like you can bring yourself to drive something so ugly, because for every prius you put on the road there are probably tn more guys like me with massive bodied huge displaced motors killing more ozone then youre helping. also youre asian so youre biased to foreign four cylinders the same as my american ass is partial to massive high horsepower domestics.
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
what im saying is there are good and bad in any vehicle on the road, and i understand the reason you drive what you drive, but when you put it in retrospect how much are you really helping the environment with one prius when i have 9 cars 7 of which run and drive fine and all of them are 6.0 liter or above? my 08 3/4 silverado uses more emission in one day then youre prius will use in a month and its got atleast another solid 25 years on the clock so you do the math man

They need a miracle to make a comeback.
cplai 2 years ago
fuck that the reason they got in trouble is because banks were handing out loans to any moron that would come threw the door THATS why they got in trouble and as far as hybrid electric trains of course i know this as a mechanical engineer there isnt much about the automotive industry that an asian hippy will be able to inform me on. its people like you that give american cars a bad name because the simple point is it comes down to maintence as far as durability.
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
Try to listen to yourself. What is the population of Asians in the US? Do you really believe Asian's purchasing decision would make a dent in Detroit's sales? Detroit is in trouble because non-Asian Americans also stop buying American cars. Don't blame the buyers when American automakers are led by a bunch of idiots with no vision of the future. The Sub-prime loan crisis kills the economy in general including import car sales too. When the economy picks up, Detroit will be still decades behind.

youre pulling statements from your ass at this point. how many even 1000+ hp hybrids are there out there? none. im not saying that the asians in this country are the reason detroit is going under maybe you should read closer. you never answered my question either why does gm produce the most models in hybrid AND since detroit is so far behind why is it then that GMC just introduced the FIRST hybrid pick up truck? where is your toyota or nissan hybrid? does nissan even make hybrids lol.
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
and when i said where is your toyota or nissan hybrid i meant to add truck in there. i dont see any tundras or titans that are hybrid, and why is it also that the tundra is one of the worse gas mileage 1/2 tons trucks on the market? also why is it that in non hybrid form gm gets just as good if not better gas mileage then any of your non hybrid toyotas? the reason americans have started buying less domestic cars is because certain morons have pumped it into there head that imports are better
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
and america as a society is too stupid to think for themselves. also the only time that imports MIGHT have been a better quality car was the 80's but if you look at stats ALL the cars of the 80's were shit boxes. dont get me wrong i currently own an 88, 86, and 84 toyota truck all of which are 4x4 and all of which are very dependable, but its not the truck itself its the quality of the previous owners
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
The Silverado hybrid is a joke. It is Chevy's scam to get a checklist item on their brochures. Adding that embarrassing 2mpg to the mpg simply proves that the hybrid design is serious flawed. I don't own one, but I read some reviews said that they just put in a bigger starter motor to help the spin up and shut down of the engine at stop lights. They save just by stopping at the lights. If you want the truck to move any distance, the hybrid mechanism becomes useless. Consumers will not be fooled.
cplai 2 years ago
well its a 20 mpg truck minus the hybrid and 22 with it, thats even better then the 6 cylinder tacoma either way you look at it
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
my 3/4 ton chevy with a 400 c.i. motor gets 16 miles to the gallon and a 1/2 tundra with a 350 ci motor gets the same if not less, why does a smaller lighter truck get the same or less then my larger heavier truck? there are alot of holes in your theory man, and i think part of the problem is the only cars you REALLY know about are hybrid ones. do youre homework on internal compustion and then come talk to me, this isnt stuff i read from a book its a lifelong passion
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
The Tundra gets bad milage because it is heavy. The engine is not necessarily worse. Toyota fortified it like a tank. Perhaps it is an overkill for people who drive a 1/2 ton truck to an office job everyday with zero payload. However, for those who haul 1/2 ton of cargo in every trip, the extra strength guarantees it would hold up for years to come. It is a trade off in the construction, not an indicator of the capability of the ICE.
cplai 2 years ago
well the half ton domestics haul just as much and still get better mileage, and most people i see driving tundras are doing that, driving to the office.
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
one more thing the only things from gm that arent offered in hybrid are the corvette, camaro, and if im not mistaken i dont think you can get a hybrid aveo but then again they get as good of mileage as some hybrids lol. shit man gm even has hybrid suvs where are all the sequia and 4 runner hybrids man?????? too bad detroit is so far behind that we have more efficient vehicles to choose from then anyone lol
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
As I mentioned before, GM's hybrid design is just a brute force attempt to add the buzz word into their repertoire for a better image. They are not serious contenders, because anyone who read reviews will know that their hybrids do not live up to their promise. The Volt, on the other hand, may have a potential because it is a serious design from scratch. GM started so late in the game, you just need to keep your finger crossed that the company does not bankrupt before the car is ready.
cplai 2 years ago
well i dont expect you to admit that anything gm is doing is better, but i think we both know the truth either way
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
you should stick to playing toy cars with your son and leave the real autos up to the ones that are actually knowledgable about ALL cars not just the ones we like
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
i gotta say this too so you dont think im prejudice to import cars or import people, go to my page the very first video is a 22re with a hole in the block so large that you can atually see the piston and it continues to run. reason being i am a HUGE fan of the 22re and its amazing durability, id MUCH rather have that then the ford 2.3 or the gm 2.8 because they are junk.
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
also look up top gear 'how to kill a toyota' they put that little truck threw hell and back from hitting it with a wrecking ball to submerging it in water to catching it on fire and by the end the frame is litterally broken in half and it STILL runs, so my point is i understand there are good and bad in EVERY car out there
bigbadbronco86 2 years ago
We are on the same page here. Reliability sells. My friend's Jaguar spends more time in the shop than on the road. My BMW started to fall apart after just 5 years. BMW uses plastic radiator that simply crumble and drop its bottom to the ground. I am speaking from first hand experience. Almost all the plastic parts breaks like saltine crackers. The car just does not hold up even though the engine still runs. My point is that not all import are good.

really a cool model, i'm a looking for the remote control Prius made by Tomy, beautiful the two small Prius made by Tomica as well, 5/5 stars
UNBOXINGCAR 2 years ago
