  • @bball1234567891000 I found a .mov file of a blank(white) screen running though an 8mm projector- so it's this flickering white image with dust/hair/scratches and a nice frame border. I used that as my top layer in my AfterEffects project, and set the layer mode to Multiply. I also found separate clips of various transitions, flares, and flickers and placed them in between clips. I had neevr used AfterEffects before- it was very easy!

  • What the hell is that at 1:12

  • @meezocool That's a horseshoe crab. Around April is their spawing season, so they're all over the beach at Sandy Hook, NJ. They look kinda creepy, but they're harmless.

  • @TickleMeCthulhu That is the scariest thing i have ever seen, but that could just be because i have an irrational fear of crustaceans..

  • The interlacing does look bad during movement, but regardless I dig the video... To me, It tells a story in its own little way. As the video progresses the viewer "learns" more about the person behind the camera just by who they're with and where you are. Maybe I'm reading too much into it since it was an After Effects experiment but like I said, I dig it.

  • @tarwood88 Thanks, man. I appreciate your feedback. I was very particular of the clips I picked, and the order in which they were shown. I have a second video- same concept- but, this time I de-interlaced all the clips.

  • It's both happy and sad to remember old faces.

  • Ugh- the interlacing looks horrible on YouTube!

  • Kewl! Looks nice!
